Summary: Don't buy! Don't believe inflated Ads. Look for good long term customer reviews. I will in future buy another brand. I would not but another Corsair power supply because too many failures without reason.
Pros: Well known name. Second Corsair power supply to fail
Cons: Failed suddenly after 1.5 years work. No heavy work for power supply SSD, 3T HDD, Asus X9-DELUXE MOTHERBOARD rarely used. Failed while downloading Microsoft updates.
Summary: I've had this PSU for about two years as a backup and have never really needed it till a day ago when I decided to put together a new system. The PSU has been running for a little less than 12 hours when suddenly the system completely shut down and there was a puff of smoke coming from the PSU.
Pros: It comes with a nice bag and I haven't had any noise issues.
Cons: I have had to RMA 2 of these in the past couple months. Its really frustrating when your gaming computer goes down for a couple weeks because of the long rma process and the $30 of shipping the defective psu back to corsair
Summary: I don't know...hopefully Corsair pulls through with their warranty.
Pros: Nice wattage and cords
Cons: Supply became very flaky and wouldn't power up all the time. Now it buzzes very loudly like a swarm of bees and sounds like it's about to die. I don't even have to run any programs, and it buzzes very loud.
Summary: +12V output changes from 12.19 to 12. 35. I do not know whether it's normal. I found a couple of ASUS forums where the customers discuss incompatibility between Asus motherboards and some older Corsair PSUs. As far as I know Asus and Corsair fixed this problem some time ago.
Pros: Worked for 6 months without any problems
Cons: My computer started to shut down randomly, as if power suddenly disappeared or somebody unplugged the power cord. When the system is on my PSU makes a squealing noise, which turns into a distinguishable beep/beep sound . I have tried the following things: 1. resetting CMOS on my motherboard 2. up...
Summary: I love Corsair, and am a huge fan of their products, but I got a lemon. Not much else I can say.
Pros: It powered things....
Cons: ....except for the most important aspect of the motherboard. One of the 24 pins in the main ATX power cord for the motherboard was missing, meaning the board and everything around it was receiving power, but the computer would not boot. At all. All in all, I had 23 pins in what was supposed to be...
Summary: I'll never again spend money on a Corsair product.
Pros: More than enough juice -- If it would work
Cons: Was DOA. Due to the recall on the Sandy Bridge motherboards, I had this sitting in my office unopened for over 4 months, without anything to plug it into to test it. When I finally was able to get a long awaited motherboard, I build my system, and all that worked was the lights. Threw in another ...
Summary: Corsair ia a great company . I have replaced this TX 950 with the HX 1000 watt corsair. cost $90 more but its worth it. Recomendation... spend a little more and get a trusted corsair model like the HX series.
Pros: Go Corsair but, dont go with this. TX 950 is having many issues. i always use corsair products. the are quality company but this TX 950 is an off model for them. I stepped up to the HX series 1000 watt... dont skimp like i did. stay away from this TX 950 model.
Cons: quit after 5 days. belive the fan fialed and it overheated. this TX 950 model has problems. the corsair forums is littered with compliants. also you better have room for the cables they are insane long. INSANE i spent 3 hours routing cables i will never use just to have to remove the whole unit 5...
Summary: i think the fan fialed cuasing it to over heat. corsair is always been a quallity product. i will replace with corsair 1000 watt. this 950 watt has had problems. 1 mo
Pros: was great 4 about 5 days then it died. must have got a lemon. corsair is one of the most trusted by many comapanys and consumers. sometimes even the best fail. recommend corsair 1000 watt dont skimp cuase of the price difference like i did.
Cons: died 5 days after install. was checking emial when it died. turned off the power to wiated 5 minutes. when power was restored to it, it litterally cought fire inside. i blew in it to put out the fire and the fan kicked on and blew smoke all over the room.
