crappy psu for the price. get yourself a fully modular psu
7 October 2013
Summary: thought this would be a full modular, but this ends up being partial modular. the power connectors that come with this psu don't even reach long enough for my case. the corsair HX620 fitted perfectly before. Not impressed with this psu at all. After using this for only 4 months, the fan on the psu died out....
Summary: My biggest issue with this power supply is the quality of the cabling. It is very ridged, and difficult to run wires. I'm serious I'm a tech with 6 years experience, and these wires are stubborn! You could clean a drain with them! Another cabling issue, the SATA connectors are upside down (unless you have a case with a bottom mounted PSU). The connectors themselves are cheap too.
Summary: I build a lot of computers and Corsair is my normal go-to power supply for builds. However, this PSU had a bad fan that rattled like a doomsday machine. I will buy Corsair products again but this PSU was a bummer.
Summary: I got the TX 850M PSU and the "M" tag is a complete joke. There are only 4 modular connections and the rest come in your standard mess of power cables. Other then that it's a good PSU and can handle my system really well. My only grip is that: The "M" tag is completely misleading. The images in Amazon don't preview the back of the PSU to show you this. The specifications don't mention the amount of modular connections.
