Summary: Installation & Use
Installing the Corsair tx850 was effortless, as usual. I’ve grown accustomed to modular power supplies and prefer them, but the stability of the Corsair tx line trumps the inconvenient lack of modularity.
I connected the PSU to my rig with an ASUS M3A32-MVP motherboard, Athlon X2 6000+, 8 GB of DDR2 RAM, three SATA hard drives, a Creative X-Fi gamer, and a Foxconn-made nVidia 8800 GTX.
I used OCCT Perestroika to perform a stress test.

Summary: I have to say ... I'm very surprised to see the Corsair TX850W do so well in terms of performance and stability. Using only high quality components inside, the build quality and construction is nothing short of excellent. What's more, it passed our
test with flying colours during our full/heavy load test. As far as voltage readings is concerned for +3.3V, +5V and +12V ... the TX850W was extremely stable, with very little fluctuations.

Conclusion: The first words that spring to mind are WOW WOW WOW. The TX850 is really that good. During room temperature testing, the voltage stability was excellent with all rails staying extremely close to their ideal values. Even when placing the unit in some nasty crossloading situations, it just wouldn't flinch and continued to provide rock solid voltages on the most important rails.
