Summary: Very ticked off at this product i spend over $100 on that didnt last barely over a month, this was my first Corsair power supply, and will be the last. It's also worth noting ive used Corsair water cooling before, the last one i ordered had a broken stand off that I was able to jury rig to work.
Pros: Long cables Cables not bulky, nice and flexible
Cons: Poor quality - wiring end points at connection plugs coming loose and even disconnected upon further inspection. Dead after 45 days no power surge, warning sign, or anything just dead. Was used daily for around 4-8 hours a day. Was working 12 hours prior to dying.
Summary: if we ignore my bad luck, I still won't recommend this since when it was working it ran hot, uncomfortable hot to touch (after I turned computer off) maybe my unit was faulty but I other more in depth reviews have revealed the fan doesn't like to kick in.
Cons: Runs hot. did I mention it exploded on me? I am pretty disappointed in a $140 (when I bought it, rip canadian dollar) powersupply dying within a year. I have reached out for an RMA from corsair but this has definitely put me off of corsair as a brand, I'm hoping it didn't take anything else with ...
Cons: DEAD in less than 2 months. Only had a few hours of usage because I had been traveling. Came back home. Turned on the comp and it wouldn't boot. Swapped out the PSU for an EVGA and my comp booted just fine.
Summary: I used to love Corsair products...my 3 yr old Corsair PSU still runs like a champ. These newer models seem to be trash, unfortunately. Feel like I've wasted money both buying this and paying to ship back for RMAs.
Pros: Modular is always nice. Had other Corsair PSUs so could share cables if needed.
Cons: After a couple weeks, it now constantly surges, causing PC to reboot, even under light load. Has been RMA'ed once already (replacement took 2 weeks to arrive after offering my credit card up for advanced express replacement...) and, like the first time, worked for about 2 weeks of moderate use be...
Summary: This may be a 1 in 10,000 occurrence but it happened and my wife was thoroughly scared. I don't know if it damaged the other components in my case but I am just glad it didn't end up burning the house down.
Cons: Fire hazard - I only used the PSU for three days before it caught on fire at the 4+4 CPU port and filled my room with smoke. Luckily I was in the room and pulled all the power cables out and got it out of the computer and away from everything else I don't know if I will ever use a Corsair product...
Pros: -It will run pretty solid -Showed no signs of failure -Fully Modular
Cons: If you like buying power supplies for just four months then this power supply is just for you! Cannot be more disappointed in this. It showed no problems at all and then all of the sudden complete shutdown.
Cons: Pretty much don't have much good to say about this power supply aside from the fact that the price was great I bought on on Wednesday and it arrived Friday and I got to building my machine. Everything went fine and my system looks amazing went through all the cable management and stuff (Never tes...
Cons: Failed within the first year. I used it in a workstation to run 3D software and Graphic software. The computer would be on for 5-6 hours a day. Gave out after 9 months. Disappointed. I expected better quality from Corsair.
Summary: Used several components in this computer by Corsair. All look nice, are defective. It's hard to believe.
Pros: Looks nice. Modular configuration is quite nice. Finish is very well done.
Cons: This was a disappointment. Last winter it kept the office warm in spring, it was toasty. This summer, it was punctuated by black outs as it gradually went south and possibly damaged a few components. It finally quit in August. Video card failed just before last crash.
