Summary: I have mine mounted in a Corsair C70, upside down. Worked fine for the first three months, then suddenly died. I did an RMA with Corsair, and the replacement arrived in under a week (California to Alberta). Replacement unit works great. I won't hold a single failure against it, as it might have been a random event and not a systemic defect. Only thing that sucked was having to pay to ship the defective unit to Corsair in the US ($50…), and it isn't a light-weight PSU.
Summary: I purchased this power supply 10 months ago for a new computer I was building. It has been an excellent power supply. Not a single problem -- and I hardly ever turn off the machine. It has been running nearly 24/7. I have only seen the cooling fan running twice, even under heavy processing loads. My system is not overclocked, though, so your experience may vary. Some reviewers reported a high-pitched whine coming from the power supply occasionally.
Summary: Great power supply. Quiet and installed easily. The cables you'll always need are hardwired (like motherboard power). The rest are modular connections - you install only the cables you need for video cards, SSDs, and optical and hard drives. Quality construction and cables.
Review of Corsair HX 750 watt ATX 80 plus gold PSU
21 April 2014
Summary: I've been pretty happy with this PSU thus far. I've had it for over 5 months now with no issues except for initial installation which proved a bit tricky. My initial installation was unusual because I found this PSU to be larger than my previous one which also said it was ATX standard which meant I ended up having to modify my case to accommodate it.
Summary: This powersupply is well built, low heat high efficiency, can't go wrong. The cables are not attached to the powersupply and are therefore removable, which does wonders for your cable management. I plan on getting another for any other computers I build.
Fantastic And Quiet !! Corsair Professional Series HX 750 Watt ATX/EPS 80 Plus Gold
18 April 2014
Summary: I added a ton of new stuff to make my computer fast and with all of the new goodies I needed a new power supply and reading all of the reviews which sometimes Amazon mixes together. Sometimes you may be reading about a 650 Watt in the 750 Watt reviews. Amazon must do a better job of separating these reviews because you may have a bad batch of 650 Watt when the 750 Watt power supplies are perfect.
