Working Perfectly

Anonymous, Newegg
  • Summary: Gave it a year before writing a review. No issues so far. Quiet and dependable.
  • Pros: I chose this product for several reasons. First, people have a negative view of Corsair PSU's despite research revealing that very few of them are manufactured by them. Most are actually designed and produced by Seasonic. Second, I am not afraid to save money on quality refurbished products (chec...
  • Cons: None so far, but will update if any uncommon issues arise.

Excellent Power Supply

James I., Newegg
28 November 2015
  • Summary: Gave power supply a full year to run before review, not one single issue out of my unit. Either I got lucky or it is a solid unit. I place my thought on solid unit. If your rerouting connections be prepared to use a lot of wire ties to keep installation clean and crisp.I never use the lights but they...
  • Pros: Extremely quiet and efficient Slides and mounts easily
  • Cons: Do not care about lights Not enough cable ties for clean installation

Refurbished

James I., Newegg
29 January 2015
  • Summary: Love it Love it and just pay attention and use Www.Corsair.com if you need description and schematics of line connections..
  • Pros: Works great and could never tell it was a refurb, highly recpmmend and save yourself some money by buying quality product even if it states "Refurb"
  • Cons: No way to really secure the connections cleanly with the 5 puny cable ties. Poor labeling of connections. As a It Professional I am fine but for a person building perhaps there first or second pc it is hard to distinguish what is what. Poor layout design of the Sata connections on serial line

Solid Power Supply, Very Quiet

JAMES D., Newegg
9 December 2014
  • Summary: The industry as a whole needs to start phasing out non-modular power supplies. Modular is the way to go for practically any build (workstation, small form-factor, etc) in terms of cooling and cable management; the only thing non-modular PSUs have going for them is their cost-efficiency.
  • Pros: Very quiet. After 2 years of ownership this power supply is still going strong, and I have yet to hear any loud fan noises or 'whining' coming from the PSU. Plus at 800W I can easily install the latest generation of NVidia GPUs without having to worry about power capacity (going SLI may a differe...
  • Cons: I regret not buying the modular version of this PSU (I forget, was there even a modular version of this product to begin with)? The cables are extremely bulky and can limit proper airflow/cooling with bad cable management. Luckily my case had space behind the motherboard, so I hid all the unused ...

Reliable and Quiet

RIchard S., Newegg
20 February 2014
  • Summary: The power supply is something that people tend to overlook. A good power supply is worth its weight in gold! After using this power supply with several graphics cards, motherboards and CPUs. I can say that I am very happy with this purchase.
  • Pros: This power supply has lasted me a little over two years and it works as well now as it did the day I got it. Very quiet. Looks pretty nice too. Also has plenty of power for the majority of people.
  • Cons: None.

2 Years and running

Kevin N., Newegg
12 February 2014
  • Pros: More than enough power for my rig. It has lasted over 2 years, not much to say after that :) My house has bad electrical work, electricity tends to cut in and out. This psu has held its own and has never shorted on me once.
  • Cons: None so far...
