Corsair CX600M PSU review

The Guru of 3D
8 July 2013
  • Summary: Based on a mainstream CWT infrastucture the Corsair CX600M PSU really is a nice product for the money. We can't detect any flaws, high noises or voltage peaks/dips, even when it is close to full load. That proofs that budget PSUs these days can be pretty interesting.

13 May 2013
  • Excerpt: When building a PC for ourselves or recommending components for others there is one area, more than any other, that is never worth skimping on… the PSU. Corsair CX Series Modular CX600M 600 W

techPowerUp!
25 April 2013
  • Summary: Corsair took a mainstream CWT platform and managed to deliver a good product for a nice price after making a couple modifications. The new CX600M surely isn't a top performer, but making it one was not Corsair's initial purpose.
  • Pros: Affordable, Good price/performance ratio, Delivered full power at 45°C, High efficiency at low- and typical loads, Good ripple suppression, Within 3% voltage regulation on all rails, Fairly quiet operation, All modular cables are flat and stealth (along with the second native one)
  • Cons: 3.3V rail's performance in Advanced Transient Response tests, Really low hold-up time (too small of a bulk capacitor), Only two PCIe connectors, Would like it to have higher quality capacitors in the secondary side

ocaholic
30 April 2013
