Summary: My wife and I are new parents, and building a second machine had to wait until we could get settled in our new house with our new babies. Tried replacing all the old parts on my machine one by one, never suspecting the PSU to be the issue. Tried three separate mobos, GPU.
Pros: The Price
Cons: DOA, but I was outside the return window when I found out.
Summary: I am sure there will be a reply with some sort of link so I can email someone for the remaining days of my life. That won't bring my hard drives back.
Pros: I |was| confident on the brand.
Cons: This PSU had a leg that killed a hard drive. I replaced the HD, then it killed my replacement HD as well. In 20 years never had a PSU burn my hardware. Do not use this on something nice, not like anyone would.
Summary: DOA. Computer would turn on for a fraction of second and then shut off. Motherboard light showed it was getting power. Just wouldn't turn on. Tried another PSU and it worked fine. Frustrating after spending a few hours getting the entire computer built and cables organized nicely.
Summary: No. Spend another $20 and buy something reliable.
Pros: Low cost Fit and connectors were fine
Cons: System worked okay initially, but now the computer is unstable with video distortion, freeze ups, and BSOD. I have used CX430 power supplies in many builds without issues, but quality must be slipping. I had another CX430 (a reman unit) in a different PC fail recently in the same manner, after on...
Summary: I will update this review when Corsair contacts me in regards to making this right. Until then, I will not be buying another Corsair product. My next PSU will be an EVGA or Antec.
Pros: For my use case, the power supply is working ok.
Cons: Unfortunately, Corsair denied my rebate submission. They are claiming that they did not receive the UPC barcode from my purchase. Out of probably 15-20 rebates that I've ever submitted, this is the first one I've ever had rejected. I know for a fact that the UPC was included and I also went out o...
Summary: The sad fact of the matter is that this run apparently has a lot of problems. I have seen a lot of negative reviews about the same issue, but took the chance given that I have used and had a lot of luck with other Corsair power supplies. This one left me with a sour taste.
Pros: The box that the power supply came in was in excellent shape. The twist ties holding the cables in the aforementioned box were of sufficient length.
Cons: Absolutely, completely not functional. Tested in 3 working builds, and nothing. When plugged in, you can hear a slight clicking sound. It won't even turn a fan.
