Dead after 7 months

Daniel W., Newegg
25 March 2015
  • Pros: No pros, it died way too soon.
  • Cons: Bought as a replacement for a friend. Not abused at all while in use, it simply died after 7 months. When I took it out of the case it still looked brand-new with almost no dust build-up.

Defective PSU

Josue B., Newegg
24 March 2015
  • Summary: I hope that CORSAIR can help me out with my issue, really disappointing about the life span.
  • Pros: Very cheap power supply. worked for 6 months. Was my first time building a computer and it met all of my requirements.
  • Cons: Bought this power supply 5/13/2014. My computer would power off after an 1-4 hours. So I ran a couple of test on my PC. When I ran Prime95 and FurMark at the same time my PC crashed instantly. I knew this was a psu issue as soon as it happened because I ran these two test separately before and ha...

Corsair CX750 ATX connection issue

Tim W., Newegg
15 March 2015
  • Summary: Had to provide a stocked Power Supply so he could take his new PC home the same day.
  • Pros: Would most likely work if it would clip into the ATX socket
  • Cons: During a build using the Corsair CX750 Power Supply, I also discovered an issue with the ATX connector not seating on the board. I checked the length and width of the plug with digital calipers and compared the measurements with a power supply plug that connected to the board with ease. Dimension...

DO NOT BUY THIS POWER SUPPLY

Lynn F., Newegg
10 March 2015
  • Pros: ....
  • Cons: the 24 pin connecter doesn't plug into the socket of the mother board... yes, the most important plug doesn't work on this power supply. I will no longer consider Corsair for anything anymore, completely disgusted.

Below Average Power Supply

Christopher M., Newegg
3 March 2015
  • Summary: Would not recommend to anyone. I would ask for a refund, but now it's broken.
  • Pros: Price seemed right. Had the number of connectors I wanted for a build project and enough power output.
  • Cons: Snapped off clip on the main motherboard (24-pin) connector getting it to seat. I put more pressure on the connector to get it to seat than I ever have (and made sure that I braced the motherboard). In my 20+ years building computers, I have never seen a power supply with a connector fitment prob...

Terrible, don't get a cx series PSU

Robin R., Newegg
28 February 2015
  • Summary: I've been waiting for 2 years to build a computer, now that I finally got the parts, I can't build it because Corsair messed up the main connector... bullcrap.
  • Pros: I can't tell, can't even get the 24 pin connector plugged in.
  • Cons: The CX series apparently is known for having connection issues for the 24 pin connector. I've tried wiggling it, pushing hard, but it just wont click in. Apparent;y I'm not the only one, if you look it up, a lot of others are having the same problem. I'm gonna give it another go and then RMA it i...
