Summary: So far it runs really quiet, I haven't even heard a fan turn on since I've installed it. Came with plenty of wiring, way more than I would ever need. Also the whining/squeaking sound people have been mentioning on the reviews, haven't materialized. So far I am very happy with the product, I'll post an update if that changes. Oh and according to the model number/packaging, this is the gold version.
Summary: A very efficient power supply. Runs cool, nice cabling options. The fan is quite, smoothly controlled, and more than adequate. They spent some money on this, it must be the heaviest 650 supply I've seen ( this is good) The only permanent cables ae the ones you always want anyway. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for, and in this case, a little more.
Summary: You can't go wrong with this PSU. Clean solid power. The modular setup is great. Very clean with only the cables I need. The only cables not modular are the ones everyone needs. (20+4 and 8 pin Cpu) Very heavy PSU and a bag to store all the extra cables. Very important, 7 year warranty. Packed in a 360 degree foam inside the box. Corsair ROCKS!!!!!!!!
Summary: Upgraded from a 350 oem power supply to the Corsair HX650 after doing a lot of research. Changing out the power supply was very easy, and with the Corsair being modular, I only use the cables I need and there are PLENTY of extra cables if and when I upgrade my system. It also comes with a bag for the extra cables which is nice. This thing is incredibly quiet. You just can't hear it at all..at least in my system. I am extremely pleased with it, and no regrets at all.
