Great Power Supply

Downs D., Newegg

  • Summary: If I need a strong power supply, I go right to Corsair now.
  • Pros: I stand by Corsair, especially in their power supplies. These things are rock solid, and the ONLY time I've seen one fail is when I spilled a beer on it.
  • Cons: None, performs as advertised.

A King of High End PSUs

Anonymous, Newegg

  • Summary: I bought this to replace my GS600 since the cable management was very hard to manage. Also, if you hear a click sound when you boot your system up, then it probably means that the fan is testing itself to make sure it works. Which, in turn, lets you know the fan is working.
  • Pros: This thing runs really quiet. The fan doesn't spin up until it detects a certain temperature or when the power supply is at 50C load. I've never heard this fan run at all, so good job Corsair. Good features and extremely quiet. The cables are sleeved extremely well and fit well into the power sup...
  • Cons: A con? For this device? Haha. You're funny. Cons. For this high end PSU. No, but on a serious note, I think this PSU is somewhat overpriced. Should be around $120-$140.

  • Pros: Looks nice, runs as quiet as other simular models and brands, Nice modular connections to power supply.
  • Cons: SATA cables wired backward for top mounted power supply and need to be twisted to install. Wires stiff and difficult to bend.

Amazing!

  • Summary: It doesnt make bacon...
  • Pros: Best power supply you can find, unless you're getting the AX850 or higher. Runs smooth and quite, fan barley comes on unless I am really running a ton of stuff. The graph on the box shows you fan speed and power consumption for the amount you are pulling. Great packing. All around good buy.

Flawed product

Louis C., Newegg
20 September 2012
  • Summary: Corsairs if you're reading this please redesign the SATA cables. It should take no more than 15 pounds of force to attach/remove a SATA cable and flip the orientation of the SATA power connecter 180 degrees so I can string three devices easily if the PSU is mounted fan down.
  • Pros: Nicely packaged, long cords and quiet fan.
  • Cons: Very loud coil whine while in use, unbearable under normal conditions. All the SATA cables were wired backwards. If the PSU fan is mounted down (clips down) while at the bottom of the case the 'L' teeth normally on the left side of the SATA device are very difficult to reach without twisting the ...

  • Summary: Just RMA'd it. Disheartening thing to happen on my first build. Now to wait however long it may take for the RMA to actually go through. Guess Borderlands 2, Guild Wars and Mists will have to wait. =(
  • Pros: -Sleek look -Fully modular -80+ Gold
  • Cons: -DOA -Cables were a bit stiff, somewhat hard to route

  • Summary: FYI, the fan does work. It spins when the computer first turns on and then goes off.
  • Pros: Each cable is separate from the power supply. Not forced to hide unnecessary cables that are not in use. Over 90% efficiency! I think its more like 98% Fan only comes on when needed. Which i havent herd it come on yet so it runs cool. Keeps the computer nice and quiet. Very clean and organized!
  • Cons: none
