Simply Incredible

Rodney P., Newegg
9 September 2014
  • Pros: I have been running this PSU since January 2007 (7-1/2 years) across three different computer builds. This PSU is as Rock-Solid reliable today as it was when I first installed it. What more can you ask from your PSU? This has led to the purchase of 4x more PSU from Corsair, and all of them are st...
  • Cons: None what so ever.

Very stable power supply

Evan B., Newegg
4 September 2014
  • Pros: I've had this power supply in continuous use for the past two and-a-half years powering my backup pc every time I've had to use it and it has been very stable. Never a crash or lockup due to "dirty" or unstable power, several due to unstable overclocks though (wrong settings, my fault). It is pre...
  • Cons: The only cons I can think of is that it only has two 6-pin PCI Express power cables, so no SLI or Crossfire with higher-power cards. Also, the PCI Express cables are a little short, so that could be a problem with bottom-mounted power supplies in large cases.

AWESOME

Jason S., Newegg
29 June 2013
  • Summary: Love this unit only wish it was still being made.
  • Pros: This power supply has been my everyday unit for over 5 years. It just finally died and I was coming here to buy another one. There are a ton of modular connectors, and it has survived three motherboard upgrades for me.
  • Cons: It died, but after 5 years of almost always on use - I can live with that!

Expensive Replacement Cables

Mathew N., Newegg
23 October 2012
  • Summary: The unnamed reviewer before me was very lucky. He apparently received replacement cables at no charge. I was not so fortunate. It is not Corsair's fault my cables are lost, but I wished they would make replacement cables more affordable because for the cost of replacement cables your better off...
  • Pros: Energy efficiant and around two years and still working well. Modular which is great for cable management.
  • Cons: My review is for those who are looking to replace missing cables. The cables are very expensive. I unfortunately lost most of my cables after I moved. The only cables I still have are the ones I used when I originally built my pc. Contacted Corsair and they pointed me to their parts website. On t...

  • Pros: Still works fine and awesome customer service from Corsair!
  • Cons: None, none at all.

Lasted 3 years

Jeffrey G., Newegg
20 January 2011
  • Summary: Replaced with 600W OCZ 600SXS. Solved the problem immediately, and still working well after 2 months.
  • Pros: Nice modular plugs. Handy storage bag for unused jumpers.
  • Cons: PSU died after 3 years in a ASUS (P4B533E) box. Computer exhibited strange behavior - Unpredictable shutdowns with increasing frequency.

Move over Enermax

MATTHEW W., Newegg
8 January 2011
  • Summary: Seems it would be hard to improve on these units. I have three of them that replaced Enermax units because I finally learned how important it is to have good rock solid power if you want a nice stable computer. I haven't had a single drive or motherboard failure since the transition. Imagine that.
  • Pros: Reliable, power is smooth and accurate, run cool and quiet.
  • Cons: Still on the fence about the modular connectors but they seem to be working well so far. I think a different type of wire that is less rigid may be preferable.
