Summary: Great PSU. I was choosing between AX860 and AX860i and didn't hesitate to pick the AX860. The only difference between the two is the Corsair link software on the AX860i. The Corsair Link software is buggy and have read a lot of bad reviews about it.

Summary: Extremely modular (even the mainboard power cables). I will never need to power more than one video card so 860W is plenty for my system. I feel it is better putting money in usable features (i.e., most people with one video card won't really need more than 500W of power, even in a LGA 2011-v3 5960x system) like the incredible modularity and 80 PLUS Platinum performance/efficiency.
Summary: Beautiful, silent, stable as a table. No coil whine for me, even under extreme loads. Arrived well packaged inside a cotton sleeve with a nylon box-bag for the cables, in a padded outer box. As other comments have attested, the cables *look* cheap. Whether or not they are poorly made is immaterial. The perception of quality fails. For a power-supply in this price-range, cables should look like they belong in the same box.
Summary: This is an EXCELLENT PSU and very quiet. I like the hybrid mode as well. Yes, this PSU costs a little more than most in its class. However, it's hard to beat the dependability of PLATINUM rating. You also make up the extra costs over the long term because of fewer watts consumed at the wall.

Summary: I was very skeptical about going with a Seasonic OEM PSU due to the many complaints I've read here and other online retailers about DOA and coil whine with these units. At the same time most who build higher end systems say, "Go Seasonic or go home!" I figured Amazon would take care of me if I got a lemon. It's been running well for about 90 days now and has been SILENT. The fully modular design was a good idea. I would like to say this also.
Summary: This power supply has whine noise. I've had three of them - they all make the noise. Usually only when running certain applications, though, and it's so rare that I can hardly call it a fault. If you're wearing headphones or even have quietly playing speakers you won't even hear it, and the noise itself is, according to Corsair, not an indicator of anything being wrong with the power supply - it's just the way it is. Otherwise, it's a platinum certified 860W PSU.
