Summary: Would love to rate this better, but definitely a faulty piece of junk. My first one died within 2 days, quickly I received a new replacement hoping to get my new system up and running. I decided to perform the self-test prior to connecting anything into my system and no light. It was DOA out of the box, extremely disappointing as the prior AX760 I owned worked for years without a hitch.
Summary: Bought this product and it was not working, kept turning on and off, would not stay on long enough to install Windows. Went to put it back in the box and noticed the box had a big dent in it, like it had fallen off of something. This was the PRODUCT box, not the shipping box, which indicates something had happened to it before it was shipped but they still sent it off like it was fine!
Summary: I bought this power supply for a server with 6 hard disks, 2 SSDs, and 2 DVD drives 1200 watts should have been more than enough While hooking up the last two drives, the power supply threw a puff of smoke (twice) The PC will run if I only attach 4 drives, but wont supply for 6 Why did I waste the extra money?
Summary: It's an extremely nice PSU - on paper. It's one of those over-engineered/overly-complicated things that unfortunately has failed on me time after time. For me, PSU starts, I hear a clicking noise, and it shuts off after 2 seconds (sometimes 1 second). This continues for tens of times and maybe one out of those 50 times the PC will turn on. If I turn it off, it's the same thing again.
