Summary: The Corsair AX1200i is the latest in a long string of power supplies we have seen from

Summary: Corsair has a refresh today that talks to its high end line of high power PSUs. The AX1200i comes in touting "platinum" efficiency and "an unprecedented level of monitoring and performance customization." How does the AX1200i perform out-of-the-box and does it actually bring value at its huge price?
Summary: Impressive is the first word that comes to mind when reviewing the AX1200i, it is without doubt the most versatile and powerful PSU we have ever had our hands on. In fact so powerful that we have to admit that we can't even fully load the PSU. Corsair AX1200i 1200W review: a new benchmark in high-end PSUs
6 August 2012
Excerpt: Today Corsair introduced the AX1200i power supply it had announced at Computex. This isn't just any power supply, it's the first PSU for high-end desktop PCs to use digital control. The DSP is supposed to ensure extremely high efficiency and very low ripple values. It also comes with interesting features such as the ability to monitor and adjust vital parts of the PSU with software.
Summary: Finally the time has come, once more, to give you the review's conclusion. In this case, thankfully, a pretty straightforward task since the AX1200i excelled in all tests I conducted and registered, without any doubt, the most spectacular performance I ever measured in any of the numerous PSUs (over 130) I have tested so far.
Pros: Delivered full power at 50°C, Highly efficient, Astonishing ripple suppression, Tight voltage regulation, Silent operation, Software that allows control/monitoring, Fully modular, 7 year warranty
Cons: Stiff price, Two additional PCIe connectors would be ideal
