Loud but does the job

Fixmyown,, TigerDirect.com

  • Summary: Used this as a temp replacement for one that had a cooling fan failure. Replaced the cooling fan and put the old PS back in as this one is louder than 5 normal PCs running!

Good but loud power supply

Dave, TigerDirect.com
26 December 2014
  • Summary: I bought the Coolmax I-400 power supply to replace my 250W power supply in my HP computer after the green light started clicking and flashing. This power supply works well and provides enough power, but it runs quite loud and it gets irritating. Also, the wires are very thin and looks cheaply built.

Failed after 5 months

jason,, TigerDirect.com
9 September 2014
  • Summary: Worked great for 5 months, relatively quiet and had zero power issues. After 5 months, the fan began vibrating and stalling, leading to overheating-shutdowns. Too good to be true for $14.99.

Came with Printrbot Plus

Graeham T., Newegg
19 June 2014
  • Summary: This psu came with a Printrbot Plus that i bought about a month ago and has been running it alright. When i set the bed to 100C it would not reach it. It would get to 86C and would not go any higher which was quite a let down since it has to be at 100C to print ABS.
  • Pros: Supplies power. Runs cold. Very light. Hasn't died yet
  • Cons: Fan runs at full speed constantly. I don't think it supplies 400W but that's just a assumption. I don't trust this power supply to last long. It's too light weight feels too cheap to last.

  • Summary: I replaced the power supply for an older HP pavilion pc. I had some problems with pc and had stored it. When I tried to use it again it wouldn't boot, power supply bad. It now works better than when new. Best $15 I ever spent.
