Garbage

Marquis N., Newegg
21 January 2012
  • Summary: You get what you pay for and I paid for junk when I bought this.
  • Pros: Powered the computer for 5 months
  • Cons: Died after 5 months of light use. Snap crackle pop then a plume of smoke.

Bought 3/2007, already dead

Mark P., Newegg
1 July 2010
  • Summary: I am not a heavy gamer/user so I wouldn't recommend this PSU
  • Pros: It worked, easy install
  • Cons: It is dead now, only lasted about three years, and for the last 6 months, I had to manually start the fan because it would get stuck.

So far so good...

Anonymous, Newegg
6 May 2010
  • Summary: I needed more power for a new GeForce 6200 graphics card, so I bought this. My old PSU was a NuPower RX-380K with 380 watts but it wasn't enough power for some reason. I guess the 6200 card is a power hog.
  • Pros: Seems sturdy to me.
  • Cons: None fo far.

Was decent..for a few months

William M., Newegg
19 March 2008
  • Summary: Waste of money.
  • Pros: Fit my budget perfectly when I built my system.
  • Cons: Only one SATA connector, crapped out after only a couple months. Now it only puts out enough juice to power my video card and a single IDE HDD.

Terrible - period

Robert S., Newegg
16 February 2008
  • Summary: buy antec.
  • Pros: none what so ever
  • Cons: This is a waste of my efforts. Don't be cheap. It cannot power a tv-tuner, pentium d, two optical drives, mobo and one HDD. Coolmax should give me a refund since i am out of the newegg timeframe. Currently on my second as first fried, and it died after 5 minutes. Mind you I am A+ cert.

Decent PSU for the price

Nathan, super biiz
3 September 2007
  • Summary: Shiny, 450Watts, has enough cables, dual 12V. Molex connectors have nice grips on them which makes disconnection easy. Runs my 6600 GT, P4 2.53, and 1024MB PC2100 RAM no problem. Runs fairly cool and the noise is about average, not too high. It gets the job done for me.
