Basicaly DOA

Shawn M., Newegg
3 January 2014
  • Pros: Module cables Gold standard
  • Cons: I bought the power supply 2 months ago. I replaced the motherboard thinking it was that found liquid on the motherboard. So I assumed it was the motherboard. It was this power supply. It turned on just fine except bulging caps in it said otherwise. Now I get a rma now the delivery date is delayed...

QA horrid.

Scott M., Newegg
18 February 2013
  • Summary: Honestly, I regret buying a Haf case for this server since now I can't trust the company to make reliable products or even try to honor the warranty reasonably. I don't even really care to send it in, since I'm sure they'll send me another refurbished one that probably won't work either.
  • Pros: None really, I only gone one to start for a short time. Though it was quiet for what that is worth.
  • Cons: Three DOA in a row. First one melted power supply tester and itself when testing an eight pin. Sent in, get it back, refurbished which I didn't mind. Stuttered on, then off. Sent it back in. Get the third one back, but I had bought an Antec to use which was working great and saw no reason to both...

Don't buy!

Daniel S., Newegg
15 November 2012
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Purchased the 1000w silent pro bronze, had it for two months and then the fan went into high spin mode and wouldn't slow down. I didn't have the computer overclocked and all the voltages on the MOBO checked out. Being outside Neweggs warranty I contacted Cooler Master and told them what was going...

Throw us the skull we'll throw you the whip!

Aaron B., Newegg
16 August 2012
  • Summary: I do my research before I buy. I buy based on people's experiences. If they have a negative experience I look at that to see why. I can't stand the people who rate something one star because it shipped slow.
  • Pros: Nice packaging. 5 year warrenty...(not really a pro, see below). Looks like a nice piece of equipment.
  • Cons: I've had this power supply for just under 2 years. About a week ago the fan started making sounds like an old car starting up. I filed an RMA with Cooler Master. It's supposed to take 1-2 business days for them to get back to me. Four days later they say the RMA is approved but I have to send in ...

Broke after 2 months

Mark S., Newegg
3 April 2012
  • Summary: After it broke, I returned it. After poor performance like that, I was disappointed that I would only get a replacement. I would never use this power supply in any of my machines ever again. CoolerMaster sent a replacement, but it was stolen off my porch.
  • Pros: High power and lots of cables. Good warranty, too (see below).
  • Cons: Not *really* modular, despite what it says. But, most importantly, it broke after less than two months of use (under, at most, 500W load).

Worked for a day. get a THERMALTAKE

Anonymous, Newegg
17 March 2012
  • Pros: When it ran, it was super silent. Mod cables are nice.
  • Cons: After a day i walked into my pc room and noticed the computer kept turning on and off, never making it to the post. cleared cmos, tried different wall socket on different breaker. then tried older PSU and it booted. Now im stuck getting a refurbished piece of garbage, after i spent 180 bucks. VER...

Failed in a year - badly too

Anonymous, Newegg
7 February 2012
  • Summary: Turnaround on warranty was a little to quick for a refurbishment. And frankly, I was expecting a new unit for the price you pay. Will never buy from this company again.
  • Pros: Quiet and cool.
  • Cons: Output was low on 12v (11.40) and then started smelling a horrible, acrid burning smell. With the system running, couldn't trace it to the PSU. Turns out it was outgassing spurts of burned electrolyte as far as I could tell. Something inside the PSU had failed. Removed and replaced PSU. Sent for ...

Never Again

Todd B., Newegg
27 December 2011
  • Summary: Conclusion, I will never again buy a Cooler Master PSU. I had always ran Corsair and had no problems. Purchase at your own risk, because Cooler Master Customer Support is not very helpful and don't really seem to care.
  • Pros: It worked when it arrived... I guess that is a plus...
  • Cons: It died less than 6 months after purchase. The customer support team was useless, they forced me to use the web RMA, even after I explained that I had eye surgery and could not see very well, so after 90 minutes of fighting to fill out there form, I submitted the problem for RMA, and after 3 week...

Stopped working after 6 weeks

Marc R., Newegg
31 October 2011
  • Pros: It was great while it was working.
  • Cons: Stopped working after three weeks. There was a mail in rebate so I need to send it to Cooler Master to get it fixed. I am at work during their live chat hours and therefore needed to leave a message to start the RMA process. I then received an email back requesting that I fill out a parts request...
