Summary: I felt the need to upgrade a Dell XPS 8500 from a 450 PSU to move up the video card ladder. The installation could not have been easier and everything fit as though it was made for this machine. After a few days of constant load everything is running as promised.
Summary: I bought this for an upgrade for my faithful Dell Inspiron 530 desktop after suffering severe brownout problems with the stock 300W power supply that kept over-exerting itself. This was like putting the engine of a Maxima in a Civic; my recommended load with the peripherals on-board was an estimated 450 watts, but it doesn't hurt to have the extra juice. Now my room is quiet once more and no more roaring from an annoying PSU fan.
Summary: Wow, what a great product. I bought it just to check out if it was really as quiet as I've read Cooler Masters to be. It is - if you put your ear right up to it, you can hear a little whir but that's about it. It's very heavy - I think it just has some really hefty heat sinks so it doesn't have to rely on the fan to keep things cool. Oh, and it was a snap to swap out and has seemingly every connector for every motherboard/device on the planet.
Summary: I think writing down a review should be optional. Just like how it used to be. I just want to give a couple of stars, clear my order history and get on with the rest of my day. But now we can't send a rating until we give a review on the product we ordered. I used to only write a review if there was something wrong. I f not, then I give five stars. I don't time to write a review for everything I order so I'll just copy and paste this on every order.
Summary: Disappointed how loud the fan is. SATA connectors much too tight. Packed poorly in factory box. First and last for a Cooler Master power supply for me. Corsair power supply is a much more quieter and better build quality power supply.
