Cooler Master GX 650W Bronze

22 June 2011
  • Summary: There is no doubt that the OEM change dramatically improved the new Cooler Master GX PSUs. Also they new models retain the same price, along with the same warranty period. However I can't say that I am fully satisfied with the GX650W Bronze performance. The unit uses outdated technology (passive design along with group regulation) so its performance is only above average.
  • Pros: Handled full power at 50°C, Good efficiency (for an 80 Plus Bronze PSU), +12V registered well controlled voltage drops in Advanced Transient Response Tests, Low ripple/noise at 5V and 3.3V and good enough ripple suppression at +12V, Five year warranty
  • Cons: Loose voltage regulation, especially at 3.3V, Bad performance at Crossload tests, somtimes down to 11.4 V, High voltage drops at Advanced Transient Response Tests, Only three peripheral connectors

Cooler Master GX 650W Bronze previewed

21 April 2011
  • Excerpt: recently refreshed its GX series of PSUs by discontinuing older 80 Plus models and introducting newer and more efficient 80 Plus Bronze certified ones. Today, we’ll briefly introduce the GX 650W Bronze. All the new GX PSUs come with clearly visible word ‘BRONZE’, in order for users to distinguish between the old and new models. However, nothing has changed other than wording as the specs are no different than on the earlier models.

Cooler Master GX 650W Power Supply Review

2 February 2011
  • Excerpt: One thing I must clarify – my review of PSU is limited, simply because I do not have the facility to perform load tests. Here are my thoughts on the Cooler Master GX 650W .

Cooler Master GX 650W Power Supply Review

[H] Enthusiast
22 November 2010
  • Summary: The Cooler Master GX 650W is just the 5th power supply we have seen from Cooler Master and so far in our testing Cooler Master has split evenly between good and, well, not good. Today's GX 650W is the first Cooler Master product we have seen in a while and is produced in conjunction with an OEM we have not seen Cooler Master use before, Seventeam. With a new product line targeting gamers and a new OEM provider how has Cooler Master done on this outing?

Cooler Master GX 650W Power Supply Review

22 November 2010
  • Summary: Cooler Master is breaking new maketing ground this time around with a "Gamer Xtreme" PSU at 650 watts. Marketing aside, it is packing a 52 amp single rail and a 5 year warranty, so maybe all is not lost on kitschy sales speak. Gag me with a spoon.

Cooler Master GX-650 Netzteil

19 September 2011
