Summary: When I mean reliable, this thing is reliable.
Pros: -Has lasted through countless power surges, under 24/7 never-shut-off strain. Never had an issue with it. AND it was free with my coolermaster haf 932! What more could you ask for? -Very quiet, have never been able to hear it unless you put your head to the power supply -Unbelievably reliable -No...
Cons: Not modular Not enough Molex plugs for fans Not 80Plus certified Not very fancy but gets the job done
Summary: If I had to buy another power supply I would probably not go with this one - others are not terribly more expensive and run much more silently. But at least it does what it is made to do well.
Pros: It provides plenty of power, was easy to install and the cables are pretty easy to manage despite the power supply not being modular.
Cons: This power supply is quite loud. I previously had a Thermaltake modular power supply in my PC and that, combined with the Cooler Master HAF 932 case, provided a lot of cooling but very low noise. As soon as I installed this new power supply and powered the system up I was worried some fan was hav...
Summary: I am really, really mad. Coolermaster needs a quality control department, and I'm thinking about shopping elsewhere for my tech. Seriously, 2 dead PSUs in a row? This is ridiculous. I've now spent a month or so without a working desktop in my house. Thanks, Coolermaster... :\
Pros: None whatsoever.
Cons: 1st one didn't turn on. 2 weeks and 15 dollars of shipping later, the 2nd one doesn't turn on either. Does anyone test these things?
Summary: My machine: psu: Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus - 700W Power Supply cpu: phenom 2 x4 850 gpu: radeon hd 7850 mother board: M2N-SLI ram: 3 gb ddr2 Kingston hdd: 320 gb western-digital
Pros: Easily powers anything I want. At a full gaming load makes no noise with ear pressed up to psu. Fits in a very small case (one for a 9.6 x 9.6 mother board) Cheap (sometimes it $90 + $5 shipping but if you can get it when its on sale only $55 + $5 which is what i got mine for)
Cons: Terrible cable management. I don't look in my case and my case is old, but you need zip ties to get a good look. Only the 20+4 pin has a sleeve. Only one zip tie on every cable bunch. (needs 3 or 4)
