Summary: My Compaq tower died and would not power up. I mean nothing. The first thing I checked was the PS that had been in it for a year or so. It had been used in another system of mine. My tester for power supplies showed good on all voltages.
Summary: This power supply is a great addition to any new build!! I recently bought this for my main machine and it works without any hiccups! I am running a P8Z77-V Pro with I7 processor, 3 Sata HDD's (one SSD), 2 DVD/BD-R combo drives and it purrs like a kitten.
Still running Strong and QUIET after a couple months....

Summary: I guess it's hit and miss (based on the other reviews) but I got a winner. Install was a breeze in my 5 year old HP Media Center PC. After installed a bigger graphics card, an SSD, as well as 2 other HDD's for my pron, I decided it was time for a better PSU. Runs quiet and a great price. VERY happy.
Summary: I've only had this two days but it's been working so far for 48 hours gaming nonstop. Like other reviews here though it says on the side of the PSU that its only 430w and not 500w. Just be careful if you really need the full 500w. Besides that it works fine and is really silent
Summary: Since my PC originally came with a pre-installed 250-watt PSU, I had numerous problems while trying to play games above certain settings. But this 500-watt PSU supports my newly upgraded graphics card, and even comes with a safety on/off switch in the back.
Power Supply worked great for 3 months, and then fried

Summary: I'll admit that I already fried another power supply in my desktop before this one, so it may not be the power supply, but it only lasted for about 3 months and the warranty expired after 1 month, which for a computer part is a gamble.
Summary: I purchased this power supply for a 6-core build for light gaming. The first week I had this I experienced several hard reboots and graphical artifacts when gaming. I switched this out for a X-Power PSU that I have had since 2009 and it fixed all the problems.
