bgears b-Tarantula 650Watt Power Supply
1 November 2008
Conclusion: The unique modular style of the b-Tarantula is very useful if you’ve got a cramped case or even a tight small form factor case, you can just bend the cables to connect them, and of course since it’s modular you only use what you need and won’t have extra cable floating around your case.
Pros: Stable power, Quiet, Well made, Uniquely modular
Summary: The bgears b-Tarantula performed well in our testing. I’d be a little weary to put this into my gaming machine with a Quad Core running 3.6Ghz, an overclocked 8800GTX and Switch MCP-655 water pump. The low 12v rail would have me a bit nervous if I was running or thinking about running SLI. Under normal operation in anything other than the highest end hardware I doubt there would be an issue. In our testing the b-Tarantula was quiet and stable.
