Perfect for travel

Brian C., Newegg
6 January 2014
  • Pros: - Swivel plug makes it compact for travel. - RJ-45 (Ethernet) and RJ-11 (phone) protection are great for hotel and home networks alike. - 2-from-1 protected outlets.
  • Cons: Surge rating is only 540 joules, so I wouldn't recommend using one of these as a permanent surge protector for critical equipment in your home.

Perfect for what it is

Brandon T., Newegg
14 May 2013
  • Summary: I bought this long ago and being in the navy, plugs were hard to come by on the ship. This allowed me to share a plug with someone and also it protects yet is pretty small. It was even more useful when we got a plug added to our racks.
  • Pros: Travel size Fold in plug Turns 1 outlet into 2 Protects Ethernet or phone cables also
  • Cons: My plug is a bit stiff to fold in or out

Product appears used

Anonymous, Newegg
7 January 2012
  • Summary: This should have refurbished or used in the product title or description. I used a coupon code for this. Now it's $3 lower without coupon.
  • Pros: Not a bad deal for portable surge protector for travel.
  • Cons: Item arrived appearing to be used. There were noticeable scratches all around the device. This should have refurbished or used in the product title or description.

Great Deal But SCARY Item

Anonymous, Newegg
8 August 2011
  • Summary: Came in OEM-type packaging.
  • Pros: Great price and great service from Newegg.
  • Cons: Ordered 4 of these; - Two worked fine - One could not complete hide the swivel plug - One other cause a FLASH and SMOKED when it was plugged into another (main) surge suppressor outlet for testing! I immediately shut off the main surge suppressor. After a while later, I plugged the Belkin F9H220-...

First big dissapointment with Newegg

Robert R., Newegg
9 June 2011
  • Summary: Item is scratched, has visible signs on sides (where you grab it to either plug it or unplug), but someone put brand new product info labels on it. It is a surge protector (in theory), so, I am happy that it works and I paid $5.99 for it, but who knows whether old item any longer protects from any...
  • Pros: It works.
  • Cons: First time I received something from Newegg which looks used although not advertised as so. And I have been buing stuff here for more than 10 years... hopefully that's just an accident.

Failed Within Two Months

Stephen N., Newegg
14 May 2011
  • Summary: If you want a surge protector with no manufacturer warranty that will fail within 60 days for no reason other than being unplugged for a few minutes, then buy it up. Otherwise, save your money.
  • Pros: It's very small and unobtrusive.
  • Cons: My unit worked for roughly 40 days before completely freaking out. I unplugged it yesterday to untangle all the cords leading into it, and when I plugged it all back in the phone jacks no longer worked. I tried to continue using it for the router and modem, but the router would completely stop wo...
