Summary: I was either going to get a similar Seasonic 860 Platinum or Corsair AX860i (same thing really), but then I saw this one - again, Seasonic appears to be the OEM. Two features I found interesting was to not bother to make the 24-pin modular (seriously, why bother?) and the ability to make it operate like either a single OR triple rail power supply. Very cool. As for the sticker...
Pros: Modular Cabling, Very High Efficiency, Basically Silent
Cons: Ugly sticker ruins the look when oriented to intake through the bottom of the case.
Summary: Premium quality. Well thought out with components and build quality that can only be described as premium. If you're like me then you're looking to buy a power supply with the full intention of not having to buy another one for 10+ years, this is the one you want.
Pros: Amazingly well built. Superbly well packaged with a numerous assortment of sleeved cables. This psu screams Premium Quality. Almost completely modular. Delivers smooth consistent power. Fans can be plugged right into the Power Supply. A switch for single rail or multi-rail power. Sexy. Can a psu be sexy? It turns out it can be.
Cons: Seagate's 860 Platinum offering is fully modular and costs about 20-30 dollars less. Other places offer this Dark Power Pro for $30 less, so go hunt and price match. I certainly did.
Summary: This PSU, I am sure, will last me a lifetime! The build quality is great. Just the way it is packaged, you can tell from the getgo it will be a good product! The modular cabling is great for cable management and I can't hear it run! Also another great point is that since it is rated 80 plus platinum, it's going to be easier on your electricity bills but, more importantly, produces less heat!
Pros: - Great build quality, - 80 plus platinum rating, - silent, - basically a seasonic PSU (best PSU maker in the world) enhanced by Be Quiet!, - Modular cabling
Summary: My old 1000W psu finally died after 6 years, good thing it didn't take away the other components with it. I decide I want the best replacement possible so I choose this beast. Be Quiet is a German firm and this psu is made by Seasonic. Everything about it speaks top quality. there are lots of modular cables though the MB cable is not modular, not a big deal. Included are 4 fan connectors which can be speed controlled by the psu according to temperature.
Pros: German design, Seasonic manufactured, Lots of cables of different configurations, modular, fan connectors, high efficiency, top quality parts
Summary: I have used almost every corsair PSU on the market and can tell you that this blows them out of the water. In terms of power delivery and NOISE this is the one to get. There IS coil whine, lick all psus, however you will need to put your ear around 1cm to the psu to hear it. And since most people use heasdphones these days you wont hear it at all. Even without headphones there is still a nice silence.
Summary: This power supply is total overkill for everyday use, I brought it for my gaming system that I built using top notch products because I have built many computers over the years and I know cheap products are not worth using. This Be Quiet 850 watt power supply is like the Rolls Royce of power supply's. It's very well made, very Quiet, comes with every cable combination you will ever need and looks awesome, I do think it's a tad over priced but if you want the best......
Summary: I have a Dell XPS 710 case with a 2700K and I overclock everything to the max. When I recently upgraded my GPUs to GTX 770 SLI I needed 850W so I got a Seasonic 850W and the system idled at 92W. The Seasonic developed a noise so I sent it back and decided to abandon trying to buy cheap and bought this Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 10 850W PSU. What can I say; it's a PSU; it works; it's very quiet; and the idle power has reduced to 82W so it's very efficient.
