Look Great...

Greg A., Newegg
26 April 2012
  • Summary: I'm sure if it sustained the output correctly it would of been fine, but for some odd reason this particular unit failed. Lemon perhaps? Decent product but terrible support, returning it was a nightmare. Thankfully NewEgg assisted in dealing with it after the terrible support from Apevia.
  • Pros: This power-supply looks awesome and powers a lot. Great bang for the buck. If your doing a low level or non-Over Clocking Build this will do the trick.
  • Cons: The power supply surged in the middle of use after three weeks of steady use. That particular surge caused the bios on the motherboard to crash. Had to flash new bios onto the board; which sucked.

Worthless for higher power

Matt W., Newegg
18 September 2011
  • Summary: Do not buy this. There's no reason to. If you need a lot of connectors (namely, PCI-E), do yourself a favor and buy a GOOD, Corsair, Coolermaster, hell, even the 80+ Silverstone with the same number of connectors. If you need a "normal" power supply, buy a lower power spec, 80+ PSU. This product has no purpose.
  • Pros: Pros: The only pro, pure and simple, is the cost for the amount of connectors you get. You're looking at less than 70 bucks for 4 PCI-E, a lot of MOLEX, a lot of SATA, and decent cable length. Period. If you're running a lower power, non-SLI/Crossfire machine, but need, for whatever reason, a lot of connectors? It's fine. But if you're running a lower power machine, you might as well spend the same and buy an actual 80+ certified CPU, cause this one sure ain't, and it...
  • Cons: It can't handle load, at all. And don't say "oh lolol I play video games and World of Warcraft and it's fantastic lolololz Crossfire lololz". No. Just shut your beautiful mouth. What I'm talking about is actually exercising the 650W rating, in my case, Bitcoins: I purchased 5 of the power supplies right off the bat, in setting up 2*5830 mining rigs; they were cheap, they had the required four (4) PCI-E connectors, and, hell, why not? Upon starting to mine, though, and...

  • Summary: Think the psu is great, liked the cables and blue led (matches my pc). Just didnt like for it not to work so soon. The temp psu i am using i paid 30$ for at local comp shop, been working twice as long as this one :(
  • Pros: Great cables, ok power, price, what i needed for my new build.
  • Cons: Worked great, went to work, came home, started up pc. Beep and no power. Wouldnt restart. Tried an older psu and started up my rig no problem. Had to go out buy a temp psu until this is rma.

Anonymous, Newegg
27 February 2010
  • Summary: Throw in another $10-$20 and get a better one. Wasn't worth buying.
  • Pros: Nicely wrapped, long cables. Cool blue fan that runs quiet.
  • Cons: SATA cables are all connected on one cord. Unit was defective. Had problems from day one; would power on then die. It was okay for about a week, then completely went bad.
