Great rackmount UPS for the money

  • Excerpt: I'm very happy with the price and features offered by this rack mount UPS. Have been using for the last three weeks since installing and have had no issues. It powers two servers and networking equipment. The LCD display is great. Easy to install in a rack and it includes adjustable depth support for the weight. Very happy with the purchase!
  • Pros: Easy To Install, Good Value, Highly Compatible, Quiet, Reliable

Good Solid Protection

  • Excerpt: I have a professional music studio. My main DAW has a 24 TB raid. I can't afford to have a power outage crash this raid, as it would take days to restore.
  • Pros: Easy To Install, Functions On Lcd Screen, Highly Compatible, Lcd Screen Lists Menus, Quiet, Reliable

Nicely upgraded product

APL, APC
14 February 2014
  • Summary: Installed this in the server room today. It replaced an old RS1200 that ran for about 4 years without any issues. This new 1300 UPS has many upgraded features including a user friendly display showing the load and other functions. The trade UPS program is great -- it's main reason why I registered and jumped through all the hoops to write this review.

Back-UPS Pro BR1300G

wildbare, APC
19 December 2013
  • Summary: Fourth APC unit purchased, and the former three are all still functioning on a daily basis. Replaced batteries on the earlier units, multiple times for one Back-UPS, and the electronics keep cooking right along. APC's Trade-UPS program provided a significant discount on the new unit, and I did not even have to surrender one of my functional battery backups; the nice folks at APC were happy with an old dud, not even their brand.

User Review

30 August 2013
  • Summary: Unit arrived in a few days and was put to use right a way. Had a short power outage a couple of days of putting this in-service and it worked like a champ. Had to power cycle the unit to clear up noise lines through the picture on the tv.

Reliable Power Protection

23 August 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this unit through the Trade-UPS program to replace an older model used to protect computers and networking equipment in a home office environment. We live in a rural area and are subject to frequent power fluctuations and outages and so this equipment is essential.

SMT 1000 for home office

R, APC
28 April 2013
  • Summary: I upgraded from my old UPS to a smart UPS model SMT1000. I was extremely happy with my previous APC UPSs and I am equally happy with the new hardware. The replacement program allowed me to recycle my old UPS and get a discount on the new UPS. It turned out that my computer required a real sine wave so that narrowed the UPS models that were appropriate. Thank you to the gentleman who mentioned this in his review.

Very good UPS but...

strshpbronk, APC
17 March 2013
  • Summary: The capacity and technical specifications for this unit are excellent for a small UPS. The plug design is suboptimal as it does not allow for small transformer plugs to be placed adjacent to each other. This limits the actual number of devices which can be connected to the unit. A previous model BP700UC had better plug placement.
