Good Solid Protection

Steven, B&H Photo
24 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I have a professional music studio. My main DAW has a 24 TB raid. I can't afford to have a power outage crash this raid, as it would take days to restore.
  • Pros: Easy To Install, Functions On Lcd Screen, Highly Compatible, Lcd Screen Lists Menus, Quiet, Reliable

User Review

Technoidfrustrated, Walmart
18 December 2014
  • Summary: Though APC is the most popular and available back- up product it has a short life span. I have owned 3 of these. And have had to replace all of them after 4 - 6 years. Each one started to over charge the internal sealed lead acid batteries. Causing the unit to fail. The last one I had was a 1350VA model. It started to pulsate the output sending low voltage to my equipment. If you buy one of these make sure you test it at least once a month.

Another Excellent APC UPS

HappyAPCuser, APC
9 October 2014
  • Summary: Purchased this via the TRADE-UPS program to replace an older APC model. As excepted it works great providing backup to equipment in our TV room. This is especially important for the DVR as we have frequent power failures (our electric company is run by the US Federal Government).

APC Smart-UPS 1500VA

JP, APC
29 September 2014
  • Summary: When my Smart-UPS SUA-1500's battery expired after five (5) years, I replaced it with an SMT-1500 via APC's Trade-UPS program rather than just replace the SUA-1500's battery. I've installed the SMT-1500 to manage power to my workstation, NAS device, and router. I've interfaced the SMT-1500 to my workstation via the USB port. My new SMT-1500 is functioning flawlessly, just like its predecessor, but with a far more advanced LCD display and control panel.

  • Excerpt: I recently purchased this Smart-UPs system for a small server and internet modem. I am totally impressed with the extended battery back up and the available information the LED read out has. I am up and running for hours even during the power outages that we had this last week.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Fast, Powerful

Saved Data Many Times!

Very Pleased Customer, APC
5 September 2014
  • Summary: Purchased UPS as update through trade-in program. Very easy to use and like the display on front. So far has saved my data/session at least 4 or 5 times from blown fuses, and power outages. Works when you need it the most! Very happy with purchase and would recommend to others.

Great, Reliable Unit

dmc1401, APC
22 August 2014
  • Summary: I have this unit on my BiPAP equipment. I bought this unit used longer ago than I can remember and the batteries, same ones before and after my purchase, are just now needing to be replaced. WAY MORE life than the 2yrs others have complained about. Batteries are hot-swappable, (I've had them out before and the unit keeps working) contrary to others complaints. Before retiring I worked in a datacenter where we had dozens of different APC UPS's.
