Summary: I wanted a power back up for my modem/router and as a phone charger during power outages, The BR1300G worked great under several test runs however I wanted to get at least 4 hrs run time but it fell short at around 3, but since it was easy to set up and works like a charm I am satisfied
Summary: Mine just died after 8 years. Event 152 registered and the battery went to 0%, cutting power to all devices even though the UPS was 'online'. Strange. Now I have to do a Intel RAID volume verification and cannot troubleshoot. I am pleased with the 8 year lifespan but not with the way it went out.
Excerpt: I use this for my desktop PC and wifi setup. It has enough outlets (10) to allow me to plug in all that I need, and 5 of those are on the battery backup, which is enough for the most crucial items (PC, monitor, cable modem, wifi router, NAS).
Excerpt: I use this for my home PC set up. Absolutely great!! Running all equipment right now and it is barely using 12 watts!! Works perfectly without flaw...will buy another for my business main PC!! Definetely recommend this for any PC set-up wanting a power back up!! Price is very reasonable at $ +/-!!!
Summary: Purchased this for my home security cameras and DVR system plus router, works great ,tested it without power and ran the whole system for 90 minutes, plus have my computer tower and monitor on this back up . Would buy another
Pros: Hovers under 60% load + 18 minutes battery runtime with full system and lots of peripherals plugged in. Want more than 18 minutes? Spend more money on a model with a bigger battery. PowerChute Personal Edition has come a long way and is just as versatile as Business Edition minus multiple client ...
Cons: Does not come with feet to ensure vertical standup. Stands up just fine, feet would have been a plus nonetheless.
Excerpt: I get lots of brown outs at my house and this ensures I don't miss out on work with a project closing unexpectedly. I have always been a proponent of UPS systems. I am a fan of this one. It looks and feels way more official than the little boxe[@]. This is the size of a desktop computer tower.
Excerpt: It's the size of an old desktop computer, but if you can mange to tuck it away, it's a useful kind of thing... My building suffers brownouts during the summer and during severe storms. I have backup drives that stay on.
