AWESOME!!!!!

Honore H., Newegg
29 August 2014
  • Summary: I first purchased this for my folding @ home rig with dual video cards x58 i7 920 all water cooled with 2 loops and everything slightly overclocked. The first month I was worried I had too much power draw with my over clocking, but the PSU was barely warm.
  • Pros: Modular 850 watts 80Plus Bronze Supports 4 PCIe power connectors
  • Cons: None really, it has been great, going on 6 years. Purchased 12/01/2008.

Rough new age...

Daniel W., Newegg
15 February 2013
  • Summary: NOTE: PCI-E Connectors are actually 2x6, and 2x6+2 (not 2x8).
  • Pros: Pretty decent for one of the first Moduler PSU's. Plenty of power, and can accommodate just about every need.
  • Cons: Possibly due to age, the 6-pins are seemingly starting to fail. Having trouble powering an EVGA 8800GTS, which has no obvious faults. Still, not bad for 4 years...

2 years strong

Leland G., Newegg
11 December 2012
  • Summary: The rear mounted fan saved me from a freak beverage spill. I actually prefer them on psu's. Flame has even been set to the main netted cable and it still runs great.
  • Pros: The rear mounted fan. Quality build. Still runs strong after almost 2 years.
  • Cons: The cables.

Quality Antec Customer Support

Jon-Paul M., Newegg
22 June 2012
  • Summary: I don't know how the RMA process is at antec but their customer service was legit, ya heard meh?!?
  • Pros: Bought this off someone, it came in an eentire rig setup. sadly that rig didn't have all the modular cables and the person who sold it to me did not either. I called Antec and they sent me a set of modular cables, no questions asked, for free. All they asked for was my address. The power supply w...

Origonal Purchase 7/12/08

Josh M., Newegg
18 February 2012
  • Summary: I plan on replacing this power supply soon for the safety of my computer, but I just wanted to make a testament to a strong power supply. I will include Antec in my search for its replacement.
  • Pros: Has never failed on me. I have used this power supply in 2 different builds of my own and tested more than a handful of other builds with it as well. Cureently Powering a dual-channel i7 setup w/ 4GB of ram and a 4780HD.
  • Cons: While I have never experience any major cons, I have heard they have poor customer service and a bad RMA process. Personally I do wish it was more modular(one reviewer noted his replacement on a warranty was not modular at all), but when i was shopping at the time, completely modular PSU's were g...

Best powersupply for the money, hands down!

Corrinne T., Newegg
7 March 2011
  • Summary: Runs an i7 860 @ 1.33V and at 4.0GHZ without a hitch, and is running a GTX 570 @ 800/1600/2100, I expect this power supply to run 2 GTX 570s overclocked easily!
  • Pros: -850w, plenty of power! -Semi-modular, a really nice touch! -All in all a really nice power supply!
  • Cons: -Medium length cables (Can't do much cable management in a Corsair 600T) -Not a single 12V rail, but I am not complaining!

Excellent PSU

William A., Newegg
28 February 2011
  • Summary: Have been using it almost daily 4+ hours a day for 9 months. Runs an i7 930, and two xfire 5870s in crossfire, plus a two HDs, and four 240mm fans without a hitch. Every Antec PSU I have ever owned is solid.
  • Pros: Relatively quiet for such a high wattage. Plenty of connectors, easy install.
  • Cons: none
