Excerpt: Antec has scored a major coup with their Signature Series 650W power supply. Its efficiency, features and warranty are at the very top of its class and the hybrid modularity and easily identifiable rail distribution are welcome additions to an outstanding product. The subtle good looks belie the clever design features, both internal and external, that set this unit apart from the crowd.
Summary: This is a great power supply. It can not only deliver its labeled power at 50° C, but you will be able to pull up to 870 W from it. Efficiency is one of the highlights from this product, achieving 84.5% efficiency at full load. With loads between 40% and 80% (between 260 W and 520 W) you will see efficiency between 85.6% and 86.4%. Only under light load (20%, i.e., 130 W) efficiency was "low", at 82.3%.
Voltage stability and noise and ripple levels were outstanding.
Excerpt: Ever since I put the finishing touches on my SG-850 review, wherein I handed out my first ever "10" for performance, something has been eating away at me. I couldn't help but wonder if the extraordinary performance of that unit had been a mere fluke. So, when Antec offered me the chance at the 650W model of the Signature lineup to compare with, I just had to say yes.
Conclusion: We thought the 850W version of the Antec Signature series was very good, so we wanted to see if the smaller model could deliver a similar performance. We weren't disappointed with what we saw today. This kind of topology of course only works with an 80mm fan at the back or the front of the PSU, and Antec made a good choice in including a PWM-controlled fan.
Conclusion: It’s easy to say the Antec Signature 650W is a very impressive power supply. It entails rock stable rails, impressive efficiency and easily the quietest cooling solution we’ve yet experienced. As well as being a good performer, it looks fab and certainly is a quality piece of tech. It’s a shame about the price, but this unit is built to last so would be a good investment. I am therefore pleased to award it 4/5.
Conclusion: Esta é uma fonte impecável.
