3 years strong and still going

  • Pros: One of the best investments I could have made with my PC build. Still running strong after plenty of upgrades.

Probably the best 750W PSU ever from an electrical perspective

Jason C., Newegg
12 October 2015
  • Summary: Keep in mind that other PSUs that bring top notch performance often rely on capacitors being installed on the cables. Such cables can be bulky, but more importantly they can break especially if the cables have to be bent a lot in your case. For this reason I avoid such PSUs.
  • Pros: - Top notch build quality/component selection, from the capacitors to the line filtering components, switchers, and even the fan (Delta OEM, purely server grade). - Top tier performance in all areas (efficiency at all loads, voltage regulation, ripple and noise suppression, etc). - Basically sile...
  • Cons: - Bad PCI-E cable design. On the PSU side, the PCI-E cables terminate with an 8-pin connector which is ideal. But on the GPU side you get two 8-pin connectors daisy chained together. This is done for convenience, but it's actually inconvenient in practice because if you have a GPU that demands tw...

Still Ticking

Betsy N., Newegg
5 July 2015
  • Pros: It's kept my system afloat pretty reliably - It seems that no amount of abuse will cause it to fail. This PSU is still a keeper, even after 3 years of service.
  • Cons: The 3-prong plug gets a little loose after a while. Nothing serious.

DOA...Very Frustrating

Jeremy J., Newegg
13 June 2015
  • Summary: Don't you do quality control? I guess it could have been someone's RMA .... but not likely due to how it was boxed and cables were wrapped. Temped to try one more time since my last antec lasted for ever, but this has left a very sour taste in my mouth.
  • Pros: Good price for a fully modular, platinum rated, and decently rated power supply.
  • Cons: Just spent all the time switching out my old 650 antec TP ...and it wont power on! Triple checked the cables. I don't have a very complicated build at the moment...not exactly like there is any possibility that its a wiring issue. Hopefully it didn't fry my computer! I can't wait to install a tem...

Great and efficient PSU for the price.

Robert C., Newegg
10 May 2015
  • Summary: Keep in mind that this is fully modular, however unlike most psu's each cable's plugin location isn't separately named and is instead completely user chosen, as such you can place for example, your hard drive cables into the same rail that your graphics card is plugged into and so forth, while this...
  • Pros: 1.Quiet. 2.Runs fairly cool. 3.Reliable. 4.Comes with plenty of cables. 5.Platinum Certified. 6.Fully Modular.
  • Cons: Documentation is atrocious, especially at this price and quality range. Not really a con but this psu is slightly longer than most normal power supplies and while most if not all mid-tower cases will have no trouble installing this, it is worth mentioning.

They are pretty good but....

Fernando B., Newegg
17 April 2015
  • Summary: Bought two HCP 750 to run in tandem since they fit nicely in my Antec Nineteen Hundred case. 750 watts x 2 = 1400. Love the idea of being able to combine and then later split in case I decide to build another system.
  • Pros: Probably the beefiest 750 watt power supply you will ever own. Good construction quality and a lot of connection options.
  • Cons: Antec completely failed in the documentation area. They advertise this whole OC Link thing so much yet it does not explain how to get it to work. Antec only states in the online manual that in order to get OC Link working then all you need to do is plug in the OC Link cable. Please don't bother w...

Fantastic PSU

Jason W., Newegg
13 January 2015
  • Summary: This replaced a 6 year old PC Power and Cooling 750W unit that served me well. When I added my (2) GTX970's I started to get a lot of electrical whine when playing certain heavy hitting games. I didn't feel good about that so I replaced it with the Antec HCP-750W. It doesn't make a sound.
  • Pros: This is probably one of the nicest power supplies I've ever seen. It weighs quite a bit for a 750w, but for good reason. According to the reviews I found this is probably one of the best PSU out there right now. I had to compare others to the HCP 850W review since I couldn't find a 750w review an...
  • Cons: That a $20 MIR came out a week after I bought this. BAHH! Other than that, no Cons.

Very nice

Joseph S., Newegg

  • Pros: You can tell the second you take it out of the package that this has a nice build quality. The modular plugs work great. Just slap it in and it works, just like any PSU should.
