Antec High Current Pro Platinum 850W Modular Power Supply Review

eteknix.com
31 August 2014
  • Conclusion: In North America Antec’s High Current Pro Platinum 850W power supply retails for $224.99 at Newegg and and $229.99 at Amazon . In the UK I could only find it at eBuyer for £171.99. This Antec power supply comes with a 7 year warranty. Antec’s High Current Pro Platinum is a very niche piece of kit.
  • Pros: High quality components, Quiet operation, Top level performance in efficiency, ripple suppression and voltage regulation, Fully modular, Good selection of cables, 7 Year warranty, Has just about every protection circuit and mechanism under the sun
  • Cons: 850W unit is redundant, might as well purchase the similarly priced 1000W variant, Is a very large power supply at 19cm or 7.5 inches

Antec Earthwatts 650 Platinum and High Current Pro HCP-1000 Platinum Power Supplies Reviewed

Futurelooks
30 May 2012
  • Summary: The goal of the Antec EarthWatts Platinum is to step away from the conventional mainstream quality and offer power conscious users a very efficient, yet respectively affordable, option. While its power rails are well within tolerance, it would really have said “all platinum” if the voltages were closer to their perspective rails. Still, users can expect a full 650 watts while maintaining 89% efficiency.

Antec 1000W HCP Platinum power supply review

The Guru of 3D
15 May 2012
  • Summary: Antec offers a terrific power supply with the High Current Pro 1000W series, I do have to state clearly that only the 1000W model comes with the 80 plus platinum certification, but yeah .. it's good. The one PSU that can come close to this one is the Seasonic 1000W Platinum, both PSU are really marginally away from each other, the Antec did win though marginally -- really too close to call a winner as a second measurement the wattage could very well be shifted a couple...

  • Excerpt: It's finally happened... Antec has released a fully modular power supply. I for one, am pleased to see it, for this fully modular power supply happens to be the High Current Pro 1kW model. Which, by the way, is certified 80 Plus Platinum. Yes, folks, Antec saw what Seasonic has been doing lately and has decided to go for the throat. It's time to find out if Antec was successful in producing some competition for those units.

Expert Review

Cowcotland
25 July 2014
  • Pros: Tensions, Consommation, Connectique, Finition, Garantie 7 ans, Silencieuse
  • Cons: Prix

Xtremehardware
5 July 2013
