Summary: I was a bit disappointed not to have a power cable option that ended with a SATA connection versus the Molex connection. A cable option without a Molex all together would of been nice. This required me to bend back the Molex connection in my wiring to hide it, as it was not needed.
Pros: The build quality of the power supply is exceptional and rather appealing cosmetically as well. This power supply serves its purpose nicely.
Summary: I wish vendors would give more modular option for the 12v rails for systems which may be heavy with hard drives rather than video cards. Figure out a way to make modular cables which could be used for both PCIe cards OR hard drive power cables.
Pros: For the price it was a good power supply purchase. Modular connectors, 2nd CPU 8pin connector option. Sufficient power to run most 2 / some 3 way SLI although I wasn't using for this build. Cables are shrouded AND painted all black on one side of the wires for clean dark look cases. Not important...
Cons: The 4 pin molex / 15 pin SATA power modular connectors all share a single 12v rail. (-1 egg) Only one cable with all 4 pin molex cables, SATA power cables include one 4 pin molex at the end of the cable. Typical of most current day power supplies. (so no egg lost)
Pros: Delivered more than enough power....when it worked
Cons: Less than 3 months from purchase, the power supply failed. In order to get it to boot, I have to unplug the power supply, flip the switch off, plug it back in, switch on, it will turn on. But after a few minutes where the PC boots up normally, it will randomly shut down completely. It will not bo...
Summary: the Antec 850m Bronze cert PUS works great for the first couple of months... recently it started to making weird noises from the fan. Not loud enough for me to bother me just yet, but still concerning.
Pros: good price on a deal, quiet, good stable power
Cons: Fan started to make noise after only 6 months of light use
Summary: Would recommend to a friend for aesthetics in mind as well as efficiency! Modular psu is definitely the way to go.
Pros: This is a great high wattage PSU that gives my build everything it needs with room for an extra GTX 970! The white LED's are fantastic in my Corsair 760t with the all white and black theme going on. Also the Modular feature is FANTASTIC. It is a no-brainer to go Modular if its in the budget!
Cons: It can be loud with a bit of a ring to it. The psu is about 2 or so feet away from my head. But i choose to have my Tower on my desk so i can gaze upon the sexyness. Builds aren't cheap and if im throwing down about a dozen benjamins for a complete rig, i better be able to look at how gorgeous it...
