Summary: Edited to clarify my comment... To be clear, the power supply does it's job and well. It was easy to install, sturdy, and so far has been reliable. My issues are with the cords, which are bulky, short for being mounted at the bottom of my mid tower atx case, and not being a modular device, left a number of cords bundled at the bottom of my case when all was said and done. I'd still gladly recommend Antec, and it's not like I weep every night over its flaws.
Summary: Lasted in service for about 4 months with a system of 3 hard drives. Then a burning smell and dead computer. Even though there is a good warranty, I will not replace it with this particular model.
Pros: Very quiet and energy efficient. Good quality wiring and connectors.
Summary: I have a box in my garage of literally 20+ dead power supplies, many of them made by Antec. It is curious (well, not to me) that they all seem to fail shortly after the warranty period. Of course I have also repaired an almost equal amount of power supplies since the number one failed component is obviously the electrolytic capacitors. The question is, how hard is it to replace the capacitor and were other components damaged when the capacitor blew???
Summary: I was worried about the generic power supply I had not being able to handle the load my system was drawing, and figured this would be a good buy, especially on the weekly special. I like the fact that it has all the power connectors I need (I had to use adapters with the old supply), and that it is nice and quiet. I may have been ok with the old power suppy, but feel better now that I have one that can easily handle the load, and is more efficient.
Pros: Quiet, efficient.
Cons: Sticker on fan didn't stick, causing problem.
