Almost 5 years and still trucking

Sabrina O., Newegg
6 February 2016
  • Pros: I bought this power supply back in 2011 and I just realized that I forgot to leave a comment about it. If you can find this supply anywhere, I would highly, painfully recommend it. I bought it as a replacement to a really poor quality 450w supply that came with a pre-built system that I had bough...
  • Cons: Not modular, so you'll have to be sure that you have some decent cable management in your case so that things aren't floating everywhere (yay twisty ties!).

Not impressed - years later still not

Christopher B., Newegg
2 December 2015
  • Summary: Should have RMA'd it years ago. I've bought Antec units before in the past and never experienced issues. None were of the earthwatts class.
  • Pros: Lots of cables and connectors.
  • Cons: When I first purchased this psu years ago from newegg, maybe in 2009, I never found it to be stable and had issues with random shutdowns. I eventually gave up on it but never issued an RMA and instead bought a Seasonic unit of similar specs locally and all the random power issues went away and ne...

Lasts under 4 years...

JEREMY B., Newegg
23 May 2015
  • Pros: It works great like it says until it doesn't!
  • Cons: It went bad 8 months after warranty. "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." 99% this error is because of the PSU, so I'm getting a new one.

Not good

Steven S., Newegg
24 November 2014
  • Summary: This review is way too late to help anyone buying new, but it might be helpful for someone considering used.
  • Pros: Nothing good to report.
  • Cons: Like another reviewer, this PSU fried several hard drives for me. Over the course of a year, I ruined three HDDs. I replaced the PSU with a Corsair HX-750 and haven't had a system problem since (which is ~2 years). That would appear to be fairly clear evidence, that the Antec PSU was in deed the ...

Still chugging along

Adam T., Newegg
11 November 2014
  • Pros: Semi - Modular design. Great Reliability. I've had it since July '09. And I'm planning to use it on my next system build. Quiet.
  • Cons: Semi - Modular - I wish I could just use the cables that I NEED and reduce the clutter.

Jason W., Newegg

  • Pros: I've had this running an overclocked Phenom X4 965 and crossfire 5850 setup for about 3 years. Runs like a champ, quiet and without issue.
  • Cons: Wish it was modular.
