Summary: Could never get a reception even outdoors in broad daylight with no buildings/trees in sight. This portable TV is a joke. When used with a DVD player the video quality on the screen is horrendous (so grainy). Sound is very muffled. Overall an horribly designed and made product. Stay away!
Summary: The iView has the best picture of any portable television I've tried. It has some intelligent viewing modes to bring in all types of aspect ratios. The picture is sharp and I can read text easily off the screen. I am using it as a kitchen TV to keep me company while I'm doing chores. It has a few shortcomings. The built-in stand is flimsy. There is a special adapter (included) to connect an F-style cable connector while every other TV uses an 8th inch jack.
Summary: It is an excellent replacement for an old 19-inch and I can see it from any part of the kitchen [I have a studio condo]. At $50 the price was far better than any other option [usually $100-200].
Summary: I was perfectly satisied with the product for the price. The battery that came with it would not hold a charge, however, so I called the customer service number for iView. A real person answered, transferred me instantly to tech support who sent out a new battery very quickly. Then somehow, I lost the coaxial adapter, I called to buy one, again live person answers, no menu, no press "1" type thing and NO wait on hold!
Summary: TERRIBLE RECEPTION ESPECIALLY IN A BASEMENT WHERE YOU WANT TO USE IT IN A STORM.. PICKS UP ONLY 2 OF THE 6 CHANNELS IN OUR AREA AND THAT NOT VERY WELL... FALLS OVER ALOT AS DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD STAND EITHER,VERY FLIMSY.. BAD ANTENNA AND WHY DOESNT IT COME WITH REGULAR BATTERY OPTION ALSO FOR STORM AREAS WHERE YOU CANNOT RECHARGE THE DEVISE IF POWER IS OUT AND NO CAR AVAILABLE.
Summary: i purchased this to add to my security from extreme storms in tennessee and just like thebkindle. ther is not any coverage in my area. in the advetising should be a notice indicating coverage.
Summary: I love this baby..Its picture is fantastic and the options to adjust color is good. I got this strictly for back up in case of power failure. so I really don't care about the plug in cards ect.. I did have trouble with the charger, I would charge for 6 hrs. and still not full. I took my own charger and took the battery out and it charged up fine.. I like all the extras, case, cig.adaptor and earphones.. For the price I don't think you can beat it..
Summary: I am pretty well pleased with this little TV. I purchased it as a replacement for my analog kitchen TV, and as such, it does a good job. The only minus is that the sound is poor and the volume won't go high enough. When I have the dishwasher, fan, microwave, and water running, I need volume! Today we enjoyed looking at photos of the grand and great-grand kids through the SD card reader as we ate lunch.
Summary: I was drawn to this portable because of its ability to take usb/sd cards and use them... but it really has no use , the mpeg4 do not playback apparently they need to be avi divx files , I never heard back from tech support about exactly what the mp4 playback specs are.... the screen is not crisp or bright enough to be a real photo player..... the tv playback is ok BUT the antenna is useless , I had to use a better antenna to get a station in...
