Summary: I have two of these radios and cannot figure out why the wood is less expensive than the colors? They should both be priced at [$]. I have a walnut one and a white one but they are really the same radio, style everything except the price. Bafffling.
Pros: Good for onetwo stations, Good reception by window, Great design, Sleek not a lot going on, Unique
Summary: FM reception is very good. AM reception is terrible. Adding the Terk antenna brings it up to acceptable, but adds $40 and bulk. Without the antenna, I can't pick up stations more than 15 miles away. The GE Super radio pulls in stations 200 miles away and the Sangean is even better. The Tivoli has the best sound of the 3, too bad they could not have built in a decent antenna.
Summary: The tuner is exceptional in its ability to provide reception of weak stations but it drifts, requiring re-tuning and the lack of tone controls leaves you with a rich but somewhat heavy sound for talk radio and more suited for music. For the price, bass & treble controls would be appreciated.
Pros: Clear Signal, Compact, Easy To Set Up, Good Sound
