Summary: Reading the other reviews- I was expecting a lot. And didn't get it. The wood is unfinished and it looks like it was made from a high school wood shop project. The reception is poor without the antenna.
Summary: This is our 2nd one. The 1st was great for years, then the FM section failed completely. This 2nd radio, the FM tuner section is not good. It has trouble pulling in even strong signals and I live in suburban Chicago where it should not be a problem at all.
Excerpt: Reception is good but not excellant. May be better with a properly assembled antenna. Sound quality is good with a proper reception. Enough to listen the news but not for music. I like simple design, copmpact size, and solid construction.
