Sony XDRS1 ROCKS!

william19..., Ciao

  • Excerpt: I purchased this radio from Sainsburys for £69.00. It is the BEST radio I have EVER owned - and I own a lot of radios. It has simply FANTASTIC sound, a variety of graphic equalisers, 3 light modes and many other functions. Considering it is only 2.2w, you will think you have a Hi-Fi in your living room. It is that good. I got one on the off-chance after reading a review elsewhere.
  • Pros: Fantastic Sound
  • Cons: No Battery compartment

A remedy for my DAB blues...

peterkinx..., Ciao
17 February 2005
  • Excerpt: At the end of last year, I had an unfortunate experence with a recognised brand DAB radio which almost destroyed my confidence in DAB as a format completly. Now bearing in mind my mistakes with the previous purchase, I took off round town and started checking out the radios in question namely a Pure Evoke 2, Intempo and various Roberts models. None of them did entirely what I needed and the Roberts ones appeared overpriced (relying on the name?) for what they offered.
  • Pros: PHENOMENAL  sound quality, superb DAB and analogue reception, attractive lines, versatile connectivity, durable finish, good build quality, FM/MW/LW reception as well, remote control, clear display
  • Cons: No battery operation, sometimes a little slow in picking up stations, you will need to purchase AAA batteries for the remote .
