Summary: bought for my husband to listen to his old big band cassette's and he just loves it!! these are hard to find but are really the best for older people who hang onto things of the past such as "old favorite cassettes". please do not quit manufacturing these "little jewels".
Summary: I purchased this same model a few years back. It was dropped and broken, and Sony repair service was unable to repair it. I listen to a lot of classical music and find the sound quality on this model excellent so I bought exactly the same model.
Summary: Have only tried it and everything seems to be working. Construction very flimsy...hope it lasts for a while. I knew what I was getting (no A/C-DC and no automatic reverse) and I accepted to pay the price which is very high for what you are getting...guess it is a sellers market!
Summary: This tape player has very good sounding AM/FM headphones . It has a Bass Boost setting too. Changes from AM to FM to Cassette player with the push of a button.Change radio stations with the push of a button. The multiple presets are great . It uses one AA battery that will last almost a week .
Summary: I have had a Sony Walkman before, which I used for hundreds of hours as I worked in the garden. After fifteen years it finally died, so I bought this Walkman. I works very well, except for some fuzzy static. The more expensive models might not have static, but I am pleased with it for my purposes.
Summary: I had a slight problem. I placed an order for two identical Sony Walkman; however, I used two different vendors. One worked perfectly and I had no problems. The other did not function at all when I placed new batteries inside. My problem was I did not check to see which vendor the faulty item was purchased from so I could not say who the faulty Walkman came from. Still it is not a problem.
