Excerpt: I use this AM/FM Walkman to pick up college ball games when possible. I use it at home or on the go. The sound and reception are both actually quite good. It's all plastic but light. The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars is because it's cheap plastic but for $ plus shipping, I consider it a nice purchase. As usual, B&H Photo shipping service was extremely fast. B&H isn't highly rated by Consumer Reports for nothing.
Excerpt: Well i try to walk each day after being diagnosed with blocked arteries last summer. And it is so much easier to walk when you can listen to music or talk shows..I didn't have the money to put alot into a walkman ;but I took a chance and went online to see if there were any bargains floating around. Sure enough....I was amazed to see this at this price. It is a terrific item. it is lightweight, can snap it onto your slacks or belt, and has great tone .
Excerpt: After going through two ipods, which I ruined with sweat from running, I decided to go back to my old Sony Walkman. I assumed they were out of production but was delighted to find a newer, lighter version at B&H, very reasonably priced. Now that's my go-to for running music, and I plan to order another for back up. Thanks for not replacing the tried and true with the new. Spoiler: I'm 76 years old but do 7.25 miles a day.
Pros: Durable, Easy Controls, Good Sound, Lightweight, Long Battery Life
Excerpt: I should have known better than expect the highest quality from a little box. This Walkman doesn't have the clarity that I was looking for in a product, thus it has a lot of static on the stations that I seek out, and it doesn't seem to matter all the time where I am located. I purchased this now, but I wish I had opted for something better.
Summary: This light AM/FM radio is just what I wanted. Good reception and easy to use -- fits right in my pocket. (Being female I tend not to weat a belt like the gentlemen though there is a very nice belt clip.) The headset is good, but you have to play with it a little to find where it is most comfortable. I had no problem getting to the stations I wanted, even though seeing the stations' numbers would have made it a tad easier. Good buy for the money.
Summary: I purchased this radio to use in my workout at the YMCA, where the TV audio is broadcast over a local FM frequency. The Radio seems to be solidly built, the sound is good and the on/off button doesn't accidentally get switched to "on" in my gym back. The one negative I've found is that the analog tuner is very difficult to tune to the exact frequency I need.
