Summary: This would be a good radio to toss in your emergency kit. Overall, it's a pretty good buy. Note that this is a headphones only radio with no internal speaker.
Pros: Great battery life. Rated 100hrs on a single AA battery. My actual results with generic alkalines are similar. Not formally measured. FM sensitivity is very good. Volume good. Ergonomics good. Controls stay put even if bumped and rubbed in my shirt pocket. Sweat does not appear to degrade perform...
Cons: I prefer in-ear earphones. Tuning scale inaccurate. Old style analog tuning is touchy and difficult to precisely tune for max performance. Radio is a bit larger than need be.
Summary: This light AM/FM radio is just what I wanted. Good reception and easy to use -- fits right in my pocket. (Being female I tend not to weat a belt like the gentlemen though there is a very nice belt clip.) The headset is good, but you have to play with it a little to find where it is most comfortable.
Summary: I purchased this radio to use in my workout at the YMCA, where the TV audio is broadcast over a local FM frequency. The Radio seems to be solidly built, the sound is good and the on/off button doesn't accidentally get switched to "on" in my gym back.
