Summary: I got this awhile ago as part of the Emergency Preparedness kit and have not regretted it. I have this and a American Red Cross unit that was given to me as a gift. On occasion I will use this a simple radio...no need to worry about battery just crank and it does last for quite some time.
Summary: Perfect companion for the outdoor. I usually run it through dynamo which lasts for about 20 mins for every 5 mins spins. Reception is great for a Sony product compared to my old brandless radio. Would like to see a smaller version that chargers USB devices.
Summary: I love this radio! I use it all the time when I go on walks. The best part is you never have to buy batteries! You just turn the crank once in a while! The flashlight is LED so the bulb lasts forever. All in all a great purchase.
Summary: If you can find this radio, buy it. I bought a couple a few years back because I got them on the cheap (like $8 new cheap on clearance). Anyways, back in Sept hurricane ike hit and so I dug them out. I turned it on and it ran for days as both a radio and a light.
Summary: This is the best radio out there, besides being small and compact it has a light. Other wind-ups break, then you need to buy another. We've had this one for years with no problem. It is used almost daily.
Summary: This little Sony does the job, I love it's size and sound and that it uses crank power to keep it running. It has some trouble with tuning out the local chanels that overwelm the FM band width in my area. The AM band has limited chanels in my area.
Summary: I bought this emergency radio a few days back for the use in India and it is the most beautiful radio I have ever used. I have always been a keen buyer of sony products and this product hasn't let me down at all. It works for more than 40 minutes ..
Summary: The cell phone charger was purely the mistake of Amazon, and Sony nevre advertised that function. The radio is great, esp the reception is excellent. the sound is fine, considering the size of the radio. the two tone lights are so good. I do love this radio.
