Summary: The good stuff: Great construction, solid cabinet that looks great and helps with the sound quality. Excellent bass and treble from the built-in speaker Lots of input options (FM, AM, USB, Bluetooth, Aux in) FM radio is very selective, pulls in weaker stations nicely Pairs easily with Bluetooth devices (used it with an iPad and an Android phone) The not-so-good: Control layout is a bit fiddly, but you do get used to it.
Summary: I bought this radio so that I could listed to MP3 audio books at night throught the USB. Works great. I also like to listen to talk radio on AM stations. The systems sound quality is very good. However, The reception here isn't very good. The radio works fine but doesn't really pull in weak stations any better than any other radios I have owned in the past.
Summary: I'm leaving my first review- below- as an indication of how confusing this radio can be to use. The problem is it's not enough to set the time. You have to scroll through the menu until you come to a display that reads RDS OFF. This is misleading as one might assume the RDS function is off (RDS syncs the radio with stations to control the time, incorrectly in my experience).
Summary: Got this for a radio with multiple functions while still having great quality audio, and not being in the hundreds of dollars range. I was only able to test the audio quality through the radio, but while surfing through stations I found one playing classical music which had amazing clarity. It didn't blow my mind in other music genres, but I prefer high end headphones, and could only test the sound quality through the radio and bluetooth(with my xoom tablet).
Summary: I searched a very long time for a clock radio that would fit my taste, and I must say this one comes close. I first ordered the WR-22 without bluetooth and returned it. Now I own the WR-22 with bluetooth and it is very special. I hooked up my kindle music and my android phone music on sd cards and the Sangean works like magic. The dark walnut is very handsome, but I don't like the black face. It is easier to see the controls on a silver face, and I like the contrast.
