User Review

Nachum, Walmart
28 June 2015
  • Summary: Has a sleep timer, volume control has high resolution allowing whisper quiet, bluetooth works pretty reliably, remote control is good. Would be nice to have it sleep when bluetooth phone is not around and wake up when that phone is in range. That doesn't seem to work perfectly.

My WR-22 is much better than my former Bose Wave Radio !

Chris A. Kantack, Amazon
7 May 2015
  • Summary: If you're wondering how this radio compares to the Bose Wave Radio read on! Spoiler Alert: The Sangean WR-22WL is the clear winner in both sound and functionality and at roughly one-third the price! Last year I inherited a Bose Wave Radio.

they don't make 'em as good as they used to

Romeo Papa, Amazon
6 April 2015
  • Summary: Initial comments regarding WR-22WL. I bought this to replace a failing Sangean RS-330 which has been discontinued. The RS-330 is a much better design. 1) The RS-330 on/off, alarms and snooze buttons were on top and were large; the WR-22 controls are tiny buttons on the face that require close...

and it sounds like an expensive sound system

Patty Van Allen, Amazon
26 February 2015
  • Summary: Wow!!! I checked the market for a small radio for weeks. This little radio is just unreal. Have it in my office at home, and it sounds like an expensive sound system. I just can't get over how good it sounds for the price {$136.99}(best deal out there....bar none).

A very good table radio with Bluetooth input

W. Mayhew, Amazon
21 February 2015
  • Summary: I purchased the Sangean WR-22WL with the walnut finsh wood cabinet. I thought the walnut would not show fingerprints and dust as much as piano black. In short, this is a very good table radio with nice rich sound.

Excellent Clock Radio

John C. Fortney "Audio Enthusiast", Amazon
14 February 2015
  • Summary: Wow. What a fantastic clock radio. Tuning (analogue knob with digital readout) is a real pleasure to use and blows everything else out of the water including my Tivoli. It can also pull in stations that the Tivoli cannot. Having station presets is another improvement over the Tivoli.

Excellent table top radio

Joseph A Huelsman, Amazon
13 February 2015
  • Summary: Excellent table top radio, pull in every FM station in 60 miles. Quick, easy, setup. Bluetooth connection with my android works great wherever my phone is around the house. Sound is a nice balance for music or talk radio. I run Sirius radio through the aux in, works as it should.

Best Radio We Have Ever Owned

djmcneff "patio sitters", Amazon
7 February 2015
  • Summary: When our under the counter radio started giving us nothing but static, we pitched it and started shopping. We are big NPR fans and like to have the radio on a lot. We were looking for something that would look good in the kitchen and get great reception.

Pretty good radio

Jason D. Sewall, Amazon
5 February 2015
  • Summary: Pretty good radio; lots of features, big sound. I do have a few gripes: * The viewing angle on the display isn't great; I put it up on a shelf in the kitchen to keep it out of the way (included remote, right?) and you can't read the display unless you are in a few choice spots in the room.

Very good mono sound, excellent for the money.

Michael P. Drayton, Amazon
3 February 2015
  • Summary: Good sound, not as complicated to operate as I feared based on some user reviews. Looks good, picks up stations on the simple wire antenna that's provided better than I would expect. Look forward to trying a folded dipole one of these days.
