  • Summary: I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE READ THE DESCRIPTION A LITTLE BETTER. I THOUGHT IT WAS FOR AN IPHONE, WRONG, IPOD. THE MACHINE IS MASSIVE! WAY TOO BIG FOR MY NIGHTSTAND. AND QUITE EXPENSIVE.

  • Summary: I bought this radio to replace a TEAC model. The feature that I had been looking for was a radio that had preset station features and a remote control. The remote control does not allow you to select the indiviual preset stations, which was not revealed in the specification review that was given when I was reviewing several radios. If I had known that was not available, I would have continued my search. Otherwise, it is a good radio, nice sounding speakers.

Power supply hums, function as so so

Eric D Reed, Amazon

  • Summary: Sadly I took to long to evaluate this and now have to keep it. This week my wife started complaining about a hum coming from underneath the radio. It turned out to be the power supply. We have to see if I can get a replacement from the factory. Function wise it is so so. It has been two days and the clock has not adjusted for DST. I will have to enter manual mode to get the right time. Not very happy with the dock connection, very hard to plug in your iPod in the dark.

Complicated and unintuitive design

Rare Bird, Amazon
3 October 2011
  • Summary: I got the Sangean RCR-10 to replace my Boston Recepter clock radio, which is annoying because its display is too small to read in bed without glasses, and its sound is a bit too bass-y for my taste. I listen to NPR in the morning and don't need booming bass. I was hoping for brighter and clearer sound as well as a display visible enough for the myopic. Big mistake!

  • Summary: This radio is way too difficult to use and adjust all of its settings. My friend, a computer teacher, was unable to get the functions to properly work, given the misleading instructions. I like the sound of it, but I am unable to access all that it offers. I would not recommend this to anyone.
