Summary: I was quite pleased to find that this clock radio was actually better than I had expected. In addition, I had priced this exact same unit at Amazon and 2 other sellers and Walmart's price was more than 50 dollars less! I know it might sound goofy, but I don't even own an ipod, so I cannot comment on how well it works with this radio or how well it charges the ipod. I bought this radio for the sound as well as some of it's other features.
Summary: Crystal clear FM reception even in a remote area over 60 miles from transmitter. Atomic clock synchronized in a few hours, but in the meantime I could use the manual setting. When tuned to one station, it even scrolls the current weather, the name of the station and the program then playing! And the dock is great for recharging and/or playing through the speakers.
Summary: I am completely happy with this radio. The controls take a little care while getting used to them. with the well written manual it's quite easy to figure them out. The sound is great for s small set and the display is excellent.
Do not buy: This companiy's Customer Service is horrible!

Summary: I was looking forward to receiving this radio that I got as a present for my husband. As you can see (at least at the moment I am writing this), it is listed as eligible for Amazon Prime shipping. Well, it is NOT. They shipped my UPS ground, and it took a week to get it (by which time it was too late for the special even I dedicated this to). The remote was defective, and I contacted the seller who told me to get in touch with the manufacturer.
Summary: First of all, the remote didn't work which should have tipped me off immediately that this product wouldn't be very good. (Sangean did provide a replacement.). However, about 6 months later, the item quit working properly: the buttons wouldn't work, then the dimmer failed, despite unplugging it and removing the batteries (like powering off a computer).
Summary: This has great sound. Using the presets is easy. I am not using it as an alarm, but I think it may take a while to figure it out the first time. I like how some stations show the song tittle and artist names, station names. The remote control is great, it does just about everything. I'm glad I purchased it!
Summary: Easy to use and has almost everything I wanted in an atomic clock - the only thing missing is a true battery backup that will power the alarm if the power is out but how often would that really happen? I checked with Sangean's support staff and they said the battery will save all the settings but that the alarm will not go off if the power is out - need to experiment to see if this is true.
Summary: I bought this radio to replace a TEAC model. The feature that I had been looking for was a radio that had preset station features and a remote control. The remote control does not allow you to select the indiviual preset stations, which was not revealed in the specification review that was given when I was reviewing several radios. If I had known that was not available, I would have continued my search. Otherwise, it is a good radio, nice sounding speakers.
Summary: I hardly ever review purchases but this clock radio has really exceeded my expectations. I use it for a bedside radio, so I don't expect audiophile quality, but this little thing actually produces very good sound. The clock sets itself, and accurately. This isn't the "well, duh" that you might expect. My wife and kid use Sony clock radios, and both of them set 10-15 minutes fast for some reason.
