Summary: I'm very pleased with this radio. It seems solidly and professionally designed and built. I have deliberated long and hard about going down the obsolescent DAB route because of the inherent sound quality available in this type of transmission. I listen quite a bit to BBC Radio 3 and find that the Roberts does a good job of making the 192 kbps MP2 (which is roughly equivalent to 128 kbps MP3) more than adequate for a portable.
Summary: Friends have a Roberts Revival Radio. Recently; while decorating at their house, I had the radio on (above normal volume) and could hear it even when upstairs. I was impressed by the sound quality so was going to buy one; then I noticed the Ecologic 4 had seperate Bass & treble controls; so it must sound better I thought and £70 cheaper.(Roberts list prices)So I purchased one. Sorry to say, I am disappointed by the sound quality of the Ecologic 4 compared to the Revival.
Summary: Had the unit for a few months now,so thought id write a quick review. I am a roofer so we have the radio on all the time all over the place. The reception is very good in most places, with more digital stations arriving all the time. The unit itself has stood up well being moved from site to site, and has coped quite well with being used outside, the onboard speakers arnt great when pushed,so the bass needs to be turned down a bit on higher voulmes required for...
Summary: First impressions are that you get a lot of radio for your money, its physically quite large and heavy, and combined with twin speakers I expected a good mellow sound with lots of potential volume. Unfortunately this is not the case and the sound quality and power output is not in my view its best feature. The advantage of having a treble and bass control is lost when the output simply doen't have the range capabilities to utilise them to any great degree.
Summary: Good points: Well made Good sound, (stereo) You can preset your favourite stations Will run off mains or battery Headphone socket Bad Slightly heavy when full of 6 D batteries On top volume speakers cannot take the power and distort. (although to be fair its too loud any ways).
Summary: I was looking for a radio to use in the bathroom and after a lot of searching on the web I settled for this one. I am glad that I did as when it arrived I had it up and running in no time at all. Stations are easy to pre-set or tune into and the sound quality is excellent as well. I have no concerns at all with my choice, however my wife says that it is a lot bigger than she would have chosen for a bathroom radio.
Summary: I have purchased two DAB radios in the past, both of them Sony's,and both of them satisfactory in their own way. However on this occasion I was looking for a more substantial stereo radio for the kitchen, and this Roberts model appeared to tick the boxes. It is certainly good value for money, being well constructed with a pleasing appearance.
Really great, but no alarm or clock and a buzzing noise.

Summary: Hey, I really REALLY like this radio. Ease of use, great sound quality, adjustable sound (I really like this), tuning knob (I like this too, exceptionally), and a good all-rounder radio, at a relatively cheap price. I would surely recommend it... They thought of everything! Another thing to mention is the signal. I guess it depends from area to area, but this radio is just right in my area.
Summary: This radio has excellent sound for a portable & you can use FM if you can't get digital. The presets are very easy to use & change. I've used it on the mains as its quite heavy & solid, so I'm not sure how it is with the batteries.
