Does what I wanted it to

  • Summary: I like to listen to catch up radio at night and my Hudl decided to eat its battery during the day so was flat every night. Having some Christmas money in my pocket I decided to take a look online for an alternative.

Groovalicious piece of kit

  • Summary: The PURE Sensia 200D is potentially a serious piece of audio gear. We get poor transmission signals in our area so my primary reason for going for the Sensia was its ability to stream interne radio from our Wi-Fi. I found the set-up to be fairly straight forward, connecting to my Wi-Fi first time.
  • Pros: looks great , sounds great , loads of connectivity
  • Cons: i don't find the touchscreen to be as 'laggy' as o , drops the network more than i would like

Excellent value for money

  • Summary: I have had a PURE DAB radio alarm for a number of years and decided to upgrade this to include Internet Radio. The unit is larger than most alarms, but not that big that it does not sit comfortably on my bedside cabinet. Due to it's larger size the sound quality is much better than my old unit.
  • Pros: nice display , good sound
  • Cons: touch screen far too sensitive

  • Summary: Compared to previous radio alarms I have owned this is exceptional, although this has been far more expensive. Great radio reception and sound from the stand alone unit. The display is clear and easily read.
  • Pros: great reception , good sound from stand alone unit , clear and easily read display , usb available to charge phone or other device
  • Cons: high price , only discounted in black

Very good sound, extremely flexible product.

  • Summary: Odd shaped rugby ball pod is actually very practical. I have it in the kitchen - connects easily to wi-fi and is happy to play MP3s from a 16Gb usb stick. Sound quality is rather good - better than similar priced Roberts Ecologic machine that I also own, and with a higher volume ceiling.
  • Pros: warm solid sound , very flexible , internet radio , clean screen
  • Cons: dab radio could be better

Great way to get in to internet radio.

  • Summary: Daunting range of internet stations available. Good sound through internal speakers but I am running it through a stereo amp so it is a shame that there is no line out (I am using the headphone output). Strong DAB reception on its own aerial and FM is good as well. Great for accessing podcasts.
  • Pros: great dab and internet radio
  • Cons: takes time to get used to it

  • Summary: I wanted this modern style DAB Radio for a few months. Bought during the Black Friday sales and I couldn't find a Radio anywhere near that price with the same specifications. Excellent value. Unit sits pretty in my 8m2 Kitchen and the sound fills the room comfortably.
  • Pros: modern styling , value for money , functionality , colour touch screen
  • Cons: touch screen is overly sensitive

Fairly quick to set up

RoamingAT, Richer Sounds
5 December 2015
  • Summary: It was fairly intuitive to set up, including the wi fi connection and the favourites. We use it in the bedroom where previously we had a system with separate speakers. Sound is good for a radio and bass/treble adjustable but don't expect seperate speaker sounds though I am looking to see I can...
  • Pros: touchscreen for setting up.
  • Cons: power button on remote control

internet dab and fm well covered, plus looks and sounds great

  • Summary: I use as a portable but only in house and in back yard so strongly recommend getting the rechargeable battery (pure chargeback F1) as a bit slow booting up and user interface not as nice and snappy as it could be in the age of touchscreen everything but you get used to it. Favorites setup v easy.
  • Pros: look , sound , coverage , favourites easy
  • Cons: bootup speed
