Summary: I bought this to replace an older InTempo DAB radio in the kitchen because the volume was too low before distortion to overcome the hob fan, electric kettle and other sundry noises. The Elan II has plenty of volume and does not distort: it is simply an excellent DAB radio.. Very good sound quality and reception. I live in West Devon where the signal is at best weak.
Summary: This radio looks superb, well constructed, solid and classy looking, and the matt black and silver / chrome go well together. There are some reviews that criticise the recessed buttons and their positions, but I find them very functional and intuitive. It's early days but the reception on DAB is good and the sound quality through the two 3" speakers is excellent, helped somewhat by the very useful bass & treble controls.
Summary: This is a perfect radio for my requirements. The battery pack charges up from the mains, without the radio needing to be playing, so whenever I want to carry it round the garden it is ready. The handle is comfortable to carry. Altogether, I'm delighted with my purchase.
Summary: had one of these radios before, unfortunately had an accident ( of my own fault ) and broke it.But was so pleased with the radio I had to get the same one. May be considered pricey for a radio, but the quality and sound is excellent and worth every penny.
Summary: I purchased this to fit the following criteria Portable, but large enough to give a good quality of sound Stereo Battery/Mains DAB and FM Battery to be charged internally and give +24hours use.
Summary: Took a while to decide on a radio as every one has a few bad reviews. I eventually went for this one simply due to being able to change the bass and treble. Other radios which don't have this option often sound muffled and too bassey to me. I love this radio and have not had a single problem so far. I did purchase the lithium battery for it and although its pricey, I definately think its worth it. One charge lasts hours and hours.
