Summary: We like the new option of an alarm clock is nice.We found it a bit confusing to program we had the county code to enter but we didn't know what channel to enter, so we tuned to the one that we received the clearest. I feel like a better instruction book would help. Our local Walmart had a sheet with the 6 digit county code for our area. Thank you Ft Payne, Alabama Walmart!
Summary: This is the second one my family owns. If it didn't work I wouldn't have bought it. The part I like about it is you can program it for multiple areas. That way you can keep track of severe weather where other family is at.
Summary: This model 120 is better than the older 100. It is easier to use and can be set up for more specific areas so the alarm isn't going off for storms that are way out of your area. This alert radio should be in every home. It could save your life. Too bad stores (including Walmart) don't stock this item and you have to go online to order it.
Excerpt: Easy set up. I use this at home, plus you can add 3 2A batteries in case of power outage or take it with you on a camping trip. It seems to be good quality. I like the big button for weather forecasts which goes on and on if you don't shut it off. Tornado warning overrides everything and it is very loud as it should be. It also appears "Amber Alerts" can be broadcast on the tornado channel.
Pros: Clear Instructions, Effective, Simple To Use
