Excerpt: Easy set up. I use this at home, plus you can add 3 2A batteries in case of power outage or take it with you on a camping trip. It seems to be good quality. I like the big button for weather forecasts which goes on and on if you don't shut it off. Tornado warning overrides everything and it is very loud as it should be. It also appears "Amber Alerts" can be broadcast on the tornado channel.
Pros: Clear Instructions, Effective, Simple To Use
Summary: I absolutely love it. It was a little difficult for me to program it but with the help of my brother-in-law(he is the one who programed it for me) A great product, It has battery back-up. Unit uses 3-AA batteries which have to be purchased separately. I would recommend this is a friend.
Summary: I was going through the process of setting up this radio when all of a sudden a tornado warning appeared and sounded. WTH???? I thought I entered something incorrectly when all of a sudden seconds later my iPhone warning sounded. WOW! Sure enough we had tornadoes touch down just a few miles from our home at that time. I purchased this to take in the RV but this lifesaver is going to be on all the time in my home when I am not in the RV.
Summary: Works exactly as stated -- this really is a must have for every household. If you live in an area that has sudden bad weather, this is a no-brainer, you should have it set up in your house. You can set it and forget it -- but you sure will appreciate it if bad weather comes up at 3 am in the morning.
