Summary: I have used a Squeezebox as a bedside radio for several years, and mine finally died. I think perhaps I knocked it off one too many times. This is the replacement unit, so I ordered it. I should have done some more research first. It set up fine, everything works as designed, but the SLEEP feature is buried about three menus deep. On the old Squeezebox, you could assign one of the programmable station buttons to the SLEEP function. On this one, you can't.
Summary: Pros: Small, portable. Surprisingly good (but not great) mono sound. Easy to use and set up, although controls not very intuitive. Seven day alarm, again not very intuitive to set up. The LCD is bright and easy to read, even for my old eyes. Six station presets a nice touch. All plastic but well built. Battery is great feature. Cons: Lots of stations, but it's Logitech's choice not yours. Unable to add your own URL's (ie your favorite stations or paid services.
