One device for all of my listening needs

GEOFFREY P M BURD, Amazon
  • Summary: Works great--I can listen to all my favourite radio streams and podcasts easily. I can also stream all of my music from my home computer. Only minor complaint is that I can't find a way to eliminate unused menu items and menu selection through the front panel is a little fiddly. Not a really big deal since can control everything using the app on my Android tablet.

GOOD, LIGHTWEIGHT RECEIVER

bill kimmo, Amazon
24 October 2014
  • Summary: A good working receiver; however, a bit lacking in "bulk". It is lightweight and moves whenever the dial or buttons are used. Connected flawlessly to my Tivoli radio and has a generous selection of stations to select.

  • Summary: I already have a Grace Internet Radio so I knew the product. I needed a unit where I could plug in a Bose speaker. The Grace Radio adapter arrived in a few days and within 15 minutes it was up and running. Easy! It's compact and sends a great sound to my Bose speaker.

  • Summary: Internet radio with so many options. Would be nice if they had a RJ45 jack as well for direct connection to avoid wireless interference.

good internet radio tuner

hm_shurt, Amazon

  • Summary: Internet radio boxes have been abandoned by Roku, and almost so by Logitech, so Grace is one of the few players left to offer this kind of product at a reasonable price. This unit does what it is supposed to do, and once it is set up it is very easy to use. It offers decoding for most audio streams, and provides an interface to paid subscription radio such as Sirius-XM (it remembers your password and userid). We have two Grace Solo units and both are working well.

Very impressed!

Annie, Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased this internet radio adapter for my 90 year old mother. She has wireless internet in her apartment and wanted to listen to french radio. The radio reception is not good where we live so I thought I would give this radio adapter a try. I first installed the adapter in my home and easily opened a free account with Grace using my computer. I then chose 5 french stations which I saved under the adapter's preset buttons.

inferior to squeezebox and logitech UE. I regret this purchase.

Andrew P Mulder, Amazon
25 April 2014
  • Summary: wifi signal was 50% when my logitech ue was 90%+ right beside it. It had to buffer internet radio about every second song (while the logitech ue didn't ever have to rebuffer). It kept losing access to the music files on a shared drive. It took over a minute to access a song from the server. If I had tested it in the first 30 days I would have returned no mater what. Unfortunately I had not tested it extensively before 2 months after purchase.

  • Summary: Works well but song identification is limited, which can be frustrating. However, we now use it a lot and have it plugged into our kitchen stereo.

Good but quirky

  • Summary: I have used a Roku Soundbridge 2000 for 7 years. My favorite radio station switched to AC3 format a few months ago and the Roku does not play that format. I've used the Grace GDI-IRA500 for 2 months now. I had hoped to put it out of sight in a closet with an amp and control with a computer or app, but that did not happen. It sits in my living room hooked up to an AudioEngine A5+ powered speaker system. Sounds great and it is a relatively compact system. Pros: 1.
